First released a few years back as the Nabaztag, and now reincarnated as Karotz, the little gadget has integrated microphone and you can speak to the rabbit, and then it will post what you say to Facebook for you. The wascally wabbit also has a camera inside and can take a picture of you to share on Facebook with your friends. In addition, an app is in the works that will also allow your friends on Facebook to take control of the rabbit and communicate with you by sending audio messages or even sending you a poke via the rabbit.

The thing will also read statuses or comments aloud to you from your Facebook profile. Karotz has voice recognition software inside and can play music for you, check e-mails, read weather reports, RSS feeds, and lots more. The device can also be made to notify you via e-mail when someone is in your home such as a child or a roommate – should they enter the room with the appropriate RFID tag on their keychain or backpack. There are also a few other apps, like one which lets you use Karotz as a remote spycam, since it has a webcam built in.

The rabbit sells for $129.99(USD) over at the Karotz website and from other retailers.

JC/DC collaborated with Hong-Kong-based watchmaker odm for this design. It’s called the Gummy Me watch, and is supposed to combine an E.T. with a rabbit. These toy/kitsch inspired watches look like something kids might wear, but JC/DC doesn’t design clothes for kids. The time can be told by staring into E.T. rabbit’s eyes. There’s also a backlight that’s activated when you press the side of the rabbit’s head.

These funky watches come in black, white, red and blue, and ship in a package that resembles a test tube (or some sort of alien transport chamber). They cost $85 (USD) each over at the ODM store.

It’s sort of like that scene in A Christmas Story where Ralphie has to put on the outfit that Aunt Clara made for him, except your iPhone is Ralphie and Rabito is its aunt that labors under the delusion that your iPhone 4 is not only perpetually four years-old, but that it’s also a girl.

While the rabbit ears do nothing to improve AT&T’s reception, at least the fluffy tail can be used as stand, a place for stowing your headset cord, and a screen cleaner. If the hot pink bunny costume for your iPhone is too much, you can also grab one in white, black, transluscent black or a slightly less offensive shade of see-through pink. I don’t know if the fluffy bunnies or the pooh bears are more insane. And even if they weren’t completely stupid looking, do your hands really ever get so cold that you can’t type and you need to wear hand warmers at the computer anyway? It’s certainly never happened to me, but then again, I don’t live in an igloo.

Both Bear and Rabbit USB Hand warmers are available from Gadget4all for $22.50 (USD) a pair. I dare you to bring these to work and wear them during a board meeting while you’re typing on your laptop. When the CEO asks WTF is going on with you, just tell him your hands were cold. I’m sure he’ll understand.

The furry gadget friends are available in a variety of styles for $14 US from Strapya World, and all you have to do to bring the cuteness is rub their little tummies. Do that and they start to undulate. In the video below, there are several of them bobbing and weaving in unison and the cuteness may be more than you can stand.
