Pgr4 Ready for Release, Vehicle List Announced

The latest in Bizarre Creations’ critically-acclaimed racing series is officially “in the can”. Project Gotham Racing 4 has gone gold, and is off to production for us to get our grubby little hands on in the very near future.

In addition to announcing this major milestone, Bizarre also released the (massive) final list of vehicles in the game, and it doesn’t disappoint.

Halo 3 Gone Gold, on Track for Sept 25 Release Date

Bungie today confirmed that Halo 3 has gone gold. In other words, the game is done, complete, finito and in the can. After three years of design, development and testing, the latest installment in Microsoft’s FPS juggernaut is ready for the world.

The game will absolutely, positively make its planned release date of September 25th, just a little less than a month from now. And that timing couldn’t be better, since I probably will have extracted all the fun that I can out of my current fave game, Bioshock by then. See you on Xbox Live on the 25th!

Bioshock Release Date One Week Early?

While those of us who played the supremely awesome Bioshock demo are salivating to get our hands on the full game, a few lucky stiffs have been able to pick up copies of the game a full week ahead of its 8/21 release date. Apparently, some ~~bozos~~ really intelligent individuals working behind the counter at Toys ‘R Us didn’t bother to check the release date, and are selling them since they already have the game in the stock room at some locations.

Several posters over on the NeoGAF forums are already reporting that they have the highly anticipated Xbox 360 FPS+ in hand. Apparently, all they needed to do was ask the sales clerks if they had Bioshock in stock, and they were sold the game. So run, don’t walk to your neighborhood Toys ‘R Us store before the Microsoft and TRU suits get wind of this and shut down the pipeline.

Apple iPhone Release Date Confirmed

Apple today released a series of television advertisements which reveal the official release date for the highly-anticipated iPhone mobile media powerhouse. The ads confirm a release date of June 29, 2007, keeping Apple’s original promise of a June launch.

The new advertisements also show off some new interactions with the user interface in glorious high definition detail. It’s especially cool to see the device smoothly transition between audio player, video player, photo viewer and mobile phone all with just a couple of finger movements across the device’s multi-touch screen. The commercials also show off the iPhone’s e-mail and web browsing capabilities.

As is already widely known, the iPhone will be exclusively available from AT&T (formerly Cingular), and will require a two-year service agreement for purchase. Even with a firm release date now, it’s expected that Apple won’t be able to produce enough units to meet early demand, so you’ll probably be waiting a while for yours.

Microsoft has now confirmed that the anxiously awaited Xbox 360 FPS will make its North American debut on September 25th, 2007. European players should get the game just 24 hours later on September 26th.

In addition, the Halo 3 public beta is less than a day away, and Bungie has already released this guide to whet your appetite. So pop in your copy of Crackdown, and get ready to start downloading!
