While this isn’t an official Nintendo creation, Steve Williams of Australia’s Mass Panic Productions came up with this modern spin on the original Kong, spruced up with new and improved graphics, but preserving the basic gameplay mechanics of the 1980s classic.

Nice touch there with the breakaway ladders and curved girders. I only wish they had included Mario’s hammer to bust up some barrels. Unfortunately, this is just an animation Williams created, and not an actual playable game. Maybe someone at the Big N will see this and get inspired to make a new version of DK for the Wii or 3DS.

Created by Mick Farrow, the game plays much like the original (with some quirks), but with a shiny new coat of paint. I’m not sure how long this will stay up on the web before Nintendo makes them remove it. So if you you’re longing to get your Kong on, you should definitely head on over to Retro Remakes and grab a copy.

As I’m sure some of you will remember, Earthworm Jim first came out in 1994.  This remake not only upgrades the game’s cartoony graphics, it also has additional levels, and even four-player coop action.

The objective of Kobra Editing’s little Flash game Tetris’D is simple. Blocks fall from the sky  just like they do in the original ‘tris, except instead of controlling the blocks, you move a little stick-figure dude who’s about to be crushed by them-thar falling blocks. You can move and jump over bricks, and with enough practice, you can even wall jump while you’re moving through the air. All you’ve got to do is stay alive without being smooshed or falling off of the platform. But don’t let the simple premise fool you. This game will seriously kick your ass when you first pick it up.

The graphics have been slightly upgraded for this version, but not at the cost of the game’s old school charm, which would have been a travesty. River City Dodge Ball All-Stars is designed for Windows–but it’s also available as an Xbox Live Indie title, under the much-less cool name Downtown Smash Dodgeball.

The original Super Dodge Ball is also available through the Nintendo Wii’s Virtual Console service for a mere 500 Nintendo points ($5), for all the purists out there… but if you’re a fan of Kunio-kun, you probably already knew that, and may actually be playing it right now.

Boy, we sure have come a long way. About the only thing these two appear to have in common are light bikes and Jeff Bridges. As the guys at Chunnel point out, being nostalgic is great, but most of us wouldn’t trade in our PS3′s and Xbox 360′s for Atari 2600′s, would we?

Instead of frequencies, the scale on the clock’s face has the hour marks arranged in a line. Keeping with the theme, the time tuner can also play music, as long as it’s in mp3 format. It has a DC plug but it can also run on 4 AA batteries.

The Time Tuner comes in three flavors: Pure Black, Clean White,  and Strong Metal. Unlike the White Bread Wrist Rests, you can definitely use this to sexify your room.

Antrepo doesn’t list the price at their blog though, and I think we know why. Weirdly shaped clocks usually = expensive clocks. Anyway if you’re interested drop by Antrepo’s blog and holla at them. Watch out for mad Engrish though.
