Yum. Gingerbread. But eww Ewoks, the Return of the Jedi equivalent of Jar Jar Binks. Well, maybe they aren’t that bad. Screw it, I would still eat this whole damn village. Maybe by doing so, I can prevent Endor from ever existing.

It was created by Canadian baker The Infinite Yums for a charity auction. It even has a Death Star with green LED lighting that’s made of Rice Krispies. It would be a perfect dessert for after I ate every last Ewok. Go ahead, poke your spears and fire your catapults at me, you little freaks.

This huge confectionery masterpiece is nicely detailed and also features C-3PO, R2, Yoda, Chewbacca and a pile of Stormtrooper heads. Great work. If you must allow Ewoks to exist, they might as well be edible.

Star Wars fanboys, here’s a picture to bring a smile to your face while you think about the fact that your long holiday weekend is basically over, and you have to go back to work tomorrow.

Taken during the filming of Return of the Jedi, a young Carrie Fisher is seen chilling out and catching some rays in her famous Slave Leia getup along with her stunt double.

I’ve heard that at the same time, Jabba the Hutt was in his trailer having his hair done.

Missing Lightsaber Scene From Return of the Jedi

This is what you’ve been waiting for, ever since 1983. It’s the missing lightsaber scene from the beginning of Star Wars VI: Return of the Jedi, and you know that you’ve been dying to see this.

This awesome long-lost scene from Return of the Jedi was shown over the weekend at Star Wars Celebration V. In it, we see Darth Vader reaching out to Luke Skywalker, while he constructs his new lightsaber.

George Lucas also used the occasion to announce announce that the six Star Wars movies would finally be coming to Blu-ray next year (it’s about time). The only sad thing about this is that the real original trilogy, the one without the cheesy new special effects, won’t be released on Blu-ray, which kind of sucks. Honestly, I can’t stand the new CGI effects that George Lucas put in, and he never should have tampered with the originals.

Retro Star Wars Posters: Wait I Thought Star Wars was Already Retro

Pat Langton put together these nifty retro Star Wars posters. The only beef that I have is that I thought that Star Wars was already retro… Still, it’s always cool to see a re-interpretation of my favorite trilogy, by this I mean the original trilogy, not the new one!

I suppose I have to agree that these posters make the original Star Wars trilogy look even older. This makes me wonder about the different ways that you could recreate some Star Wars posters. Maybe an all-Helvetica Star Wars poster? Or maybe that crazy San Francisco font from the original Macintosh.

At-St Scout Walker Jungle Gym Lets Your Kids Join the Empire at an Early Age

Star Wars geeks are getting older and it’s time to teach the next generation about the world of Jedi and Sith. This should be made a lot easier with the Return of the Jedi jungle gym, from Gym Dandy.

As you might have guessed, this crazy jungle gym is a relic from 1984, one that I would have loved to play with. There’s even a speeder bike swing. How cool is that?

There’s a bunch of other stuff, like an electronic console with 4 great sound effects! For some reason, it reminds me of the AT-AT or the Mon Calamari cruiser Star Wars toys that I always wanted. I actually bought a Slave 1 (Boba Fett’s ship) a while ago, which has always been my favorite Star Wars ship.

Too bad they aren’t still making these. For now, you’ll have to troll the aisle of your neighborhood flea market or eBay if you want one.

Leia Vs. Jabba Star Wars Diorama Will Confuse Your Hormones

From Sideshow Collectibles and Lucasfilm comes this limited-edition diorama of a classic scene from the Return of the Jedi. Okay I actually don’t know if it’s a classic scene or not because I’m not a big Star Wars fan. I don’t even remember this scene; I had to look it up in Wikipedia. Anyway this diorama is a freakin’ conundrum – on the one hand you have the sexy Princess Leia in her slave outfit (that’s a classic isn’t it?). Veeery Nice. Especially the view from behind. On the other hand. 90% of the 7.5″ x 14.5″ x 9″ diorama is a slimy giant slug with one of his eyeballs about to pop out of its socket because the slug’s being choked to death. Boner Shrinker.

Unless of course you have a thing for slimy giant slugs with one of their eyeballs about to pop out of its socket because they’re being choked to death. But if that was the case Princess Leia would just be a distraction. Dammit! Make up your mind diorama! The “You’re Going To Regret This” diorama won’t be released until the 3rd quarter of this year, but you can pre-order it now at Sideshow Collectibles for $225 (USD).

Sarlacc Pillow Might Just Bite Your Face Off

Another day, another pillow–stuffed examples of geekery are fluffing up all over this week. But yesterday’s RSS pillow’s got nothing on this plush rendition of the sarlacc pit where Boba Fett met his ignoble end in Return of the Jedi.

Those tentacles may look soft and harmless, but I’m not sure I would be willing to put any portion of my body on that thing. Better safe, man. Better safe. I don’t like being digested.

It’s an excellent recreation, though. All fears of being eaten slowly aside, I have to admit it looks great. This pillow is yet another geek craft project from Stitch Wars, the Star Wars crafty exhibition.
