Full-face helmets are the only way to go. But that didn’t stop the French company Ruby from designing their open-face TRON-inspired helmet.

While it doesn’t really look like the new TRON:Legacy lightcycle helmet, it looks similar to the original TRON helmet. It should be available in January 2011, when TRON: Legacy will be released in France. Ah well, tough luck for the French. I’m planning on seeing it when it is released in the USA in December.

The helmet will be available here and best guesses put it in between $1,200 and $1800 (USD), as that’s how other Ruby custom helmets are priced. Personally, I’d rather see helmets from the new TRON movie than the old one. That being said, it probably would be counterintuitive to have motorcycle helmets that light up, since they’d probably hamper night vision.
