<p>With the largest of his creations towering overhead at 22-feet tall, Michael Salter&#8217;s packing foam robot sculptures are a sight to behold. Surrounded by an army of pint-sized sentry Styrobots, the gargantuan &#8216;bot is actually made from discarded packing materials, hung on a wooden skeletal system for support.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-2743" title="salter_and_styrobots" src="http://technabob.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/salter_and_styrobots.jpg" alt="salter and styrobots" width="520" height="525" /></p>
<p>You can check out the robots shown above at the <a href="http://www.sanjosemuseumofart.org/content/exhibitions/current/exhibition_info.phtml?itemID=369">Robots: Evolution of a Cultural Icon</a> exhibit at the San Jose Museum of Art, which runs through October 19, 2008.</p>
