Admit it: if you’re an Xbox 360 owner, you get the tiniest little thrill whenever that “achievement unlocked” message flashes before your eyes. Some of you even play solely for that moment, it seems (though why you’d do that when you could do this is beyond me). Well, now you can rack up all the achievements you want (or rather, one hundred of them) in a Flash game that’s all about… unlocking achievements. It’s just so meta.

In Achievement Unlocked, you even get points for simply starting the game, and just as with Xbox 360 games, the most banal accomplishments are given hilarious names evocative of pop culture moments. I got four achievements just for hitting the play button, and one while I was looking around for a pause.

The rate at which achievements pop up is almost overwhelming, but at least you have a tiny, cute elephant on your side. Until you kill him, anyway.

With Spring training just a couple of months away, here’s a great gift idea for the baseball fan in your life. This new wireless device sits anywhere in your home or office, and provides baseball scores without a computer.

The new Ambient Devices Baseball ScoreCast receives a digital radio-frequency broadcast to update with the latest scores every half-inning. It’ll even tell your the current standings for your team’s division as they race towards the Pennant.

Keep in mind that Ambient’s wireless data network covers only 90% of the U.S., so be sure to check coverage before buying. Expect the device to hit stores just in time for the 2008 baseball season for about $125.
