So let’s say you just happen to have a lot of vinyl lying around. Do you: a) re-upholster your car in a fit of retro fever, b) create some fetish wear, or c) stitch together a few giant Atari cartridges? Clearly, discerning individuals around the world have chosen that last option… or, at least, this one did.

So what does one do with giant Atari cartridges? Who knows, really. Maybe you stuff them with something soft and use them as a pillow or cushion while gaming. Maybe you take your giant Atari cartridge around the world, photographing it at various landmarks. If you’re Snaggs, the creator of this particular project, you show ‘em off at a gallery. This is art, people!

I might have paid more attention in those art classes if this kind of thing had been a part of the curriculum, frankly. I mean, really, Renaissance versus vinyl game carts? That’s an easy one. Then again, it’s hard to argue with Judith Slaying Holofernes.

We’ve already featured a sample of crafter punzie’s products before, a set of Pac-Man ghost pillows. Now she’s creating stuff based on Super Mario games, like a Baby Mario baby blanket or a Shooting Star baby blanket. But punzie also accepts custom orders; one of her larger orders was for a complete set of Super Mario-themed pillows and blanket.

Let’s see what we have here: a Raccoon Mario Queen-sized bedspread, 2 pillow shams with Mario and 1up shrooms, a goomba throw pillow, and a boo throw pillow. And no Princess Peach. Sorry Mario.

None of these items are on punzie’s regular product list – punzie herself is jealous of the customer and says, ” I might have to make myself a set” – but I guess you can always ask her to make the same stuff for you in exchange for some gold coins. Check out punzie’s crafts on Flickr and Etsy.
