I now suspect that a real-life Dr. Wily exists, and that he resides in Turkey: veterinarian Erhan Elibol performed a cesarean operation on a pregnant sheep. The lamb was stillborn, but perhaps it was all for the best, because the lamb had a human-like face. Vets think that the lamb’s mother’s vitamin-A rich food may have caused the mutation.

If the lamb was alive it would have grown up to become a terrible level boss, stoppable only by a man who is mega. Or rock, depending on where you live. Seriously though, the poor lamb would have been killed by horrified or disgusted neighbors anyway – which, according to the Daily Telegraph, is exactly what happened to a baby goat in Zimbabwe that was born with the exact same abnormality. Or perhaps it would have been carted away to a lab and subjected to all sorts of tests. Go straight to heaven, Sheep Man Lamb Kid. We hardly knew ewe. Sorry.

Deranged Animals Keep Your Hands Warm While You Type

Despite the fact that it’s currently zero-degrees Fahrenheit outside my door, my hands don’t feel that cold while I’m typing this. That said, I’m sure some of you guys out there have some cold, numb hands when the air conditioning is blowing in your office. Here’s an effective, if not stylish way to keep your hands toasty and warm while your click away at your keyboard.

Sure, you’ll look like a complete moron wearing these plush animal USB hand warmer mitts, but your hands don’t have eyes, so they shouldn’t care. The “Happy Lamb” above looks like he’s been poked in the eye, or maybe he’s just having a seizure because he’s been decapitated and you have your hand rammed up his neck. Who knows. At least your hands remain warm. And if you’re not into sheep, you can always get your self a pair of peaceful anesthetised monkey hand warmers.

If you really have cold hands, you could always just turn up the heat, but if you really want to look like an idiot at the same time, you’ll need to pick up a pair of these. They’re available over at gadget4all for $21 (USD) a pair.

Do Androids Dream of (Radioactive USB) Electric Sheep?

Here’s a desktop toy that’s sure to draw stares from your office-mates. What could say “I fly my geek flag, and I’m proud of it” more than a glowing radioactive, goggle-sporting USB sheep for your cubicle?

Not much, I say. This USB critter is based on the namesake of the offbeat Seamour Sheep comic series, which follows the misadventures of Seamour and his anipal, Marty the Mole. Just plug him into your USB port, turn down the lights, and bask in the glow of electric sheep.

Seamour radiates an otherworldly green, presumably after he ate some radioactive waste, and Marty hit him up with the appropriate warning label in this particular episode.

There’s no word if Seamour actually will expose you to a high dose of radiation, or if he’s really powered by a bunch of green LEDs. Guess you’ll just have to find out for yourself. You can get your hands on this limited-edition (only 500 sheep) Seamour collectible over at Chicago’s (my hometown) awesome Rotofugi toy store for $69 USD.
