We featured a line of cases for the iPhone 4 called iTattoo, but this odd customization deserves that name more, as tacky as it is. Made by Sirtified, the iTat creates a permanent etching into the back glass of the iPhone 4 (or 4S). Since the iPhone can’t very well ink itself, you’ll have to play the role of phone tattoo artist. Did I mention that it involves applying an acidic substance to your phone?

As you can see, the iTat isn’t as bad as its name sounds. You also have the option of ordering a custom template, so you can truly personalize your phone. But as I mentioned above, a big drawback to this customization option is that the iTat is a DIY affair. Sirtified will only send you the vinyl pattern and a “Super Magical Etching Fluid” – which is acidic enough that a pair of latex gloves is also included in the DIY kit – and you’ll have to do the rest. Apply the sticker, then the solution. Let it sit for 3 minutes, then wipe it clean and remove the sticker. Afterwards, your iPhone’s glass will be etched with your design.

You can order the iTat iPhone Tattoo DIY kit from Sirtified for $15 (USD); you’ll have to pay an extra $5 for custom text. Replacement back glass not included.

I have been out on more than one occasion taking photos for work or just for fun and had someone ask me if I got a good shot. If you are into photography gear, a new set of shot glasses raises the strange possibility of someone taking a shot of you doing shots from a tiny little Canon SLR lens.

Each of the three glasses holds a standard 1.5-ounce shot just like you would get in a typical U.S. single shot glass.

Each of the glasses is made from ceramic and look like tiny Canon EF 24-105mm lenses. You can also use the shot glasses for things like holding paper clips and change if you want. They come in a gift box for helping the special photo geek in your life get the shot they really need.

The little shot glasses come three to a package for $18 (USD). These glasses are out of stock right now, but I bet more will be coming so keep your eyes peeled on Photojojo.

The set of 6 shot glasses includes graphics from six retro Atari arcade games: Asteroids, Centipede, Pong, Breakout, Missile Command and the aforementioned Battle Zone. The flip side of each glass features a color-coordinated Atari logo. Each class holds a perfect shot of your favorite liquor, or is perfect for catching quarters during your drinking games (and save ‘em for later for some arcade play.)

You can grab the full set over at Amazon for $16.99 (USD). Whiskey not included.

[Have more than 5 drinking buddies? Then grab a set of these Pac-Man shots to go with.]

If you believe that mixing the perfect cocktail is a science rather than an art, this just may be the perfect complement to your adult beverages. The Cocktail Chemistry set brings an unmatched geek form factor to the table… or rather, to the bar.

The scale shown above, unfortunately, is not part of the set. Instead, you get a sweet rack, an Erlenmeyer flask with a glass mixing rod for extra class (and authenticity), four two ounce shot glasses shaped like test tubes, and a completely unscientific shaker. Not included: any actual drink-mixing ability, but at least with this set, it’ll be fun to practice. You can always drink the results!

Just be careful, and remember that alcohol does in fact burn.
