Simpsons Arcade Game Hits Xbox LIVE Doh!

You probably wasted way too many quarters at your local arcade playing the Simpsons Arcade Game back in the day. I know i did. This side-scrolling arcade game was a must play and if you missed out, never fear, the Simpsons Arcade Game is now available on Xbox LIVE.

That means that you can experience this Simpsons fun on your XBox 360 for 800 Microsoft points. At least you won’t be popping in a quarter every time you play. Up to four players can play at once and it should be just as fun now as it was back then.

The idea is that you are chasing Smithers and Mr. Burns to save Maggie as you battle through eight familiar Springfield locations. Are you guys going to buy this one? Let us know in the comments.

Homer Eats Some Donuts on the Escalator

I’m not sure how I missed this when it first came out, but this great escalator was made for The Simpsons movie. It features everyone’s favorite dolt chomping down on donuts at the bottom of the escalator. What did you expect? Homer Simpson eating a veggie burger?

This advertising piece was done by Gabriel Russo, who has it up on his Behance page. But there’s one thing that I’m not sure of: is this just a concept or was it really installed somewhere?

For now, the question remains unanswered, but either way, it’s pretty awesome.

Here’s a fun little retro vid clip I came across earlier today. The 9-second clip from an old Simpsons episode is short, sweet, and really funny.

With all the recent iPhone buzz, it’s kind of fun to look back at Apple’s earlier, less than successful entry into the handheld market.
