Nightlights are a great way to light up the room so that you don’t bump into things and stub your toe, but most nightlights are only good in a fixed position on the wall. That’s no good if you have to go into another room. A dark room, that is full of things to stub your toe on or trip over.

It’s about time that we took a cue from our cars and put some headlights on our slippers. These illuminated slippers do just that, and will light your way up to 20-25 feet in front of you. They have weight sensors, so as soon as you put them on, they shine.

Better still, the LEDs have light sensors and won’t turn on when the room is already lit. These will cost you $40(USD) from Opulentitems and have rechargeable lithium batteries to power them. Thank God! No more stubbed toes. That hurts like a %%$$#^&.

Sometimes my feet get really sore and tired, so the idea of padding around in soft slippers with those rubber nubs that massage your feet really appeals some days. And being a computer geek, what better way to keep those feet comfy but with a pair of squishy keyboard slippers.

I’m not sure from whence these particular slippers came, but they’re pretty damned funny. The good news is that with a little sleuthing, I did find a similar pair imported from Thailand available here for $29 (with free worldwide shipping) if you want to try some on your own achy tootsies.

I guess you could always try to make your own by strapping actual keyboards to your feet, but for some reason I don’t think that would be quite as comfy.

Having a bad morning? That’s no reason to should suffer alone! And what better way to pass on that a.m. headache than by adding kickin’ sound effects to your lurching gait?

These squashy slippers sound off with the crash of earth-shredding stompy robotics with every step, turning a previously-mundane trip to the coffee machine into an epic journey of destruction.

If there’s a better way to start the week, it doesn’t come to mind.

At $39.99, these babies may be a little pricey for in-house wear, but what price glee? At least it’s cheaper than a real mobile suit.
