Steins of Science: Science I Can Get Behind

I think it’s really cool when you make stuff out of other stuff and the stuff you make out of that other stuff actually serve a purpose and stuff. Know what I mean? Such is the case with Steins of Science. These things are beer and beverage steins that are made out of things you would generally find in a science lab.

The real coolness of the Steins of Science is the ability of the steins to keep your frosty beverage cool. The steins come in a variety of sizes – with some apparently made from stainless steel and others made from silvered glass. That last one will come in handy if you happen to drink with Van Helsing. The stein is made from two layers of the silvered glass with a vacuum between them that is 100,000 times stronger than a Thermos. What all that means is that the vacuum prevents any heat for hitting your beer and any cold from your beer from escaping from the sides of the container.

These things aren’t cheap though, with prices ranging from $250 to $515 (USD) depending on the size and materials.

World of Warcraft Beer Steins for When the Raid Goes Badly

This is it, folks. The final piece. Now you can cosplay as a World of Warcraft character while eating WoW-themed snacks at a WoW-themed computer in a room painted to resemble something from WoW, and you can do it all while drinking from one of these (very expensive) steins. It’s the total experience.

Pretty sweet, right? But hold up there, little paladin–these steins come at a premium. The cheapest single stein is $89.99. They’re pretty hefty, though, at 10″-plus and three pounds apiece.

They may be expensive, but for the dedicated World of Warcraft fan, one of these may be too fascinating to pass up.Especially if you happen to like filling and draining a stein in a repetitive cycle, but which I mean drinking heavily. Because, after all, it’s hardly possible to drink lightly in a three-pound glass.

Darth Vader Mug Holds the Dark Side of Your Coffee

What better way to glug down your favorite beverage but out of the head of everyone’s number one movie villain, Darth Vader.

While it’s officially being called a “stein” thanks to its flip-top head, the ceramic Dark Lord mug is perfect for those of us who like a really big cup of coffee.

The oversize mug has a 24 ounce capacity, more than enough joe to keep you buzzing all morning long. Of course, you’re not allowed to add any cream or sugar, as Darth only drinks his java black.
