Forget the old tags — meet the new tags, the tags rooted in HTML and lolcats.

Not all of the designs in WebUrbanist’s excellent collection are traditional graffiti; some of the artwork is “reverse graffiti.” Instead of painting or otherwise marking a surface, the artist carefully cleans the areas that need to be lighter for the design. There are usually plenty of places in our cities for the intrepid young artist to practice that form.

Nope, no matter how hard I try, I’m still not sick of Space Invaders. Now you can show that you’re an Invaders fanatic with these festive Space Invaders dog tags you can hang on all your stuff.

Created by La Tête Au Cube (the same guys who make the excellent Space Invaders door mat), these colorful aliens are perfect hung from a bookbag, keychain, zipper or anywhere you want to show that you’re a member of theInvaders’ cult.

I’m actually thinking about covering my Christmas tree with a crapload of these guys in lieu of my regular ornaments this year.

French design retailer Collette has cornered the exclusive to sell these through November 15h, then after that, you should be able to buy them direct from La Tête Au Cube for €5 (appx. $9 USD) per Invader.

Man, 3.5-inch disks. I still can’t believe that just a decade after the demise of the floppy, a pocket-sized iPod Nano can hold than 11,378 times more data than a single 3.5-inch disk. How far we’ve come. Still, there was something so tactile about working with floppies back in the day, so I sorta miss them.

Now you can bring back those fond floppy memories with these clever floppy disk gift tags. Edinburgh, Scotland crafter feelfuzzy makes these gift tags from leftover retro 3.5-inch floppy disk labels, adhered to heavy card stock, and hung from a string.

They’re available over on Etsy for $5.50 a pack of 5. Of course, if you happen to have box of floppies lying around, just grab a drill, punch a hole through the corner of the disk itself, and you’ll be just that much cooler when you hand out the presents.

You can program a message of your choice by pressing a couple of buttons on the back of the tag.

I’m not sure if tagZ will be the next big trend with the kidZ, but they sure look cooler than the tacky glow stick necklaces that show up at the occasional rave. TagZ are available from RED5 for £10.00 each (just under $20 USD.)
