Ideally, unboxing videos are great ways of sharing the excitement of inspecting a new gadget, tool or toy, but some people tend to focus on the act of unboxing and on the little details instead of the object itself. Cool Gear Reviews has had enough of unboxing videos, so he decided to make a guide about how not to make an unboxing video.

I still think unboxing videos can be helpful and interesting to watch, but I get Cool Gear Review’s point. Some of the unboxing videos I’ve seen take far too long and only end up diluting the thrill of looking at a new device. No one can stop you from making your own unboxing video, but if you want people to watch what you make, just remember that you don’t have to include every single act and detail. You’re not conducting an autopsy.

Yes, I’m a Tron fan, but I haven’t gone bonkers yet over what I’ve seen of TRON:Legacy. That is until I saw Daft Punk’s new video for their song, Derezzed. It’s been on repeat the whole day.

The song is really good and after having watched the video a few times, I’m starting to really look forward to the movie. This can’t be good. What am I supposed to do? Survive.

On top of that, you’ll get to see Olivia Wilde and Jeff Bridges in TRON:Legacy. I’m thinking it’s going to be amazing, and I can’t wait for the December 17th release.

Xbox 360 Laptop Mod (Awesome)

Console modder extraordinaire, Ben Heck has completed his latest masterpiece, and Xbox 360 laptop.

Ben’s “portable” has a beautiful aluminum case with a 17-inch widescreen LCD, built-in keyboard, Wi-Fi and USB ports on board. Dimensions are a “svelte” 16.75″ x 10.75″ x 2.8″, so it’s actually not much larger than a stock Xbox 360. On-board water cooling with a custom built radiator should allow the system to run significantly cooler than an off-the-shelf system.
