Imperial Forces Wallpaper: Your Walls Have Joined The Dark Side

Yep, now even the walls are evil. The Imperial Forces wallpaper features portraits of your favorite Star Wars villains: Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Stormtroopers, Snowtroopers and Imperial Guards. Thankfully, the Star Wars element isn’t too in-your-face. You have to look at it pretty closely to see the intricate designs.

If you were expecting this was some unlicensed DIY product that would be taken off the market before you can buy it, think again. This awesome Star Wars wallpaper fully licensed by Lucasfilm.

The wallpaper was created by Brian Flynn of Super7 for his retail store in San Francisco, then later licensed through Lucasfilm after Star Wars collector Steve Sansweet came across it.

Rolls of the Imperial Forces wallpaper sell for $75 (USD) for 17 sq feet to $350 for 101 sq feet and you can buy them here.

Stormtrooper Eye Chart

I laughed out loud when I saw this image. Come on, isn’t it hilarious? Two stormtroopers giving you an eye exam, making sure you know exactly how they feel!

My most recent eye exam was pretty painless, but you better believe that I would have preferred to read out loud these letters instead of the regular E-P-F-T-O-Z, etc…The funny image is part of Stefan Le Du’s Stormtroopers 365 series, where he photographs toy stormtroopers in funny situations. Suffice it to say that it will perk up your desktop. This particular image is available as a high quality download from Wallbase.net. Suraj from Machoarts put together this roundup of great digital robot illustrations. Most of these can be downloaded as wallpapers for your computer. Here are a few that tickled my fancy.

Needless to say that I’m a fan of Hajime Sorayama’s shiny, sexy robots, including the Björk-bot above.

Of course, there aren’t just curvy female ‘bots in the collection. Here’s a slightly more masculine ‘bot for you in case you prefer your robots to be more macho.

Decorate Your House With Own Your Body Parts

Paris design studio 5.5 Designers recently unveiled their series of household items based on your own unique body parts. My personal favorite among these oddities are the eyeball lamps, which are modeled after your very own peepers.

Other objects in the studio’s “Cloning” collection include vases, mirrors and other home accessories, all derived from your own personal body attributes. The series even goes as far as to produce wallpaper based on scans of your own skin, and carpets based on your body hair. Yuck. And what could be more lovely than a pillow based on the shape of your own beer belly?

How about a clothing valet that’s actually structured from the dimensions of your skeleton? It’s perfect for keeping your clothes ready and wrinkle-free for the next day at the office.

Why not have a mirror made from your own personal silhouette? It’s not like anyone else will ever need to look at themselves, right?

I suppose if you’re particularly self-absorbed, you might want to furnish your pad with this stuff. For the rest of us, just chock this up to the annals of the Hall of Bizarre Interior Design.

IPhone Runs Windows Vista (Kinda Sorta).

Here’s a fun iPhone hack you’ll either really love or really hate. VistaPerfection 2.0 is a complete re-skinning kit for Apple’s wonderphone that lets it masquerade as a Windows Vista machine.

While many of you will ask: why the heck would you want to go and do that? Dunno. Maybe Spec Works (the guy who made it) just wanted to prove it could be done.

The install comes complete with wallpapers, sliders, sound effects and over 90 Vista-themed icons for everything from the computer to the recycle bin, and all of the standard iPhone apps too. There’s even a simulated version of Vista’s Sidebar and familiar Start menu.
