You probably never thought that you’d go back to playing in the rain again, now that you’re an adult. Designer Alex Woolley, however, has other plans. Fun plans.

When the sun comes a-shining, it’s time to get to work. But when the rain clouds cover the city and rain starts to pour, then it’s time to put the pens away and grab your Squirt Umbrellas for some fun under the pouring rain.

The design of the Squirt Umbrella is simple enough. The top of the canopy actually has a sunken area in the middle where water gathers as the rain pours. The middle part of the handle is actually hollow, so the water from the canopy funnels down into the water gun handle of the umbrella.

You probably already know what to do next. That is, if you had a childhood (which I’m sure you did.) Alex’s design is just that for now: a design. But hopefully, we could see some go into production, because I’d sure love to have one of these around.

While I don’t deny that paintball guns are fun, they can get quite messy which is why the Xploderz Water Pellet Guns look so cool. The ammo they shoot won’t make anyone too dirty, but you’ll get the same satisfaction as from paintball guns.

While I don’t deny that paintball guns are fun, they can get quite messy which is why the Xploderz Water Pellet Guns look so cool. The ammo they shoot won’t make anyone too dirty, but you’ll get the same satisfaction as from paintball guns.

Theses water pellet guns from Xploderz use little non-toxic balls, that are made out of a super-absorbent polymer (composed of acrylic acid, sodium hydroxide, coloring, and water if you really wanted to know). You simply let the pellets soak in water for 4 hours and then you’re ready to go. This material was initially designed to help crops absorb and store water.

They can be fired to distances of up to 85 feet. The two models pictured in the photos are the sniper-like XRanger 2000 and the XStormer 1000, which will cost you $39.99 and $29.99 respectively over at Amazon. Ammo refill packs will cost you about $5.99. The pellets don’t hurt as much as paintball ammo (probably because Xploderz aren’t as powerful), so that can be good or bad, depending on your penchant for inflicting harm.

I’m not sure who decided that water guns and rubber duckies were just the thing to help sell the console that has never spent more than a few days at most sitting on the shelf, but that seems to be the thrust behind GameStop’s wacky new Wii bundles.

The GameStop bundle: when it’s important to buy a water gun and a gaming console at the same time!

Some of the retailer’s bundles make a little more sense, and by some, I mean one: the Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games bundle includes a console and the aforementioned game. It’s a bundle; it’s made up of things that go together.

The Take a Bath with a Buddy bundle? Includes a Wii and a rubber duck. Let’s just hope no one thinks that the buddy who goes into the bath is the Wii. Somebody’s gonna get sued.
