A lot of people think that the bigger something is, the better. While I don’t necessarily agree, one thing “big” is definitely good for is grabbing people’s attention. I mean, would you have taken a second look at this Jack Sparrow Statue or Honeycomb Statue if it were only a feet tall? I didn’t think so.

That’s probably what Oliver Voss was thinking when he made and positioned this giant statue in Hamburg’s Alster Lake on August 3 – and it will stay there on display until August 12.

The sculpture is called the “Die Badende,” which is German for “the bather.” Others have called it the ”Badenixe,” which means “bathing beauty.” This beaute rises around four feet tall from the water surface, making it extremely noticeable and quite a sight to behold for passing boats and tourists.

It’s not very mermaid-like though, because as you can see, there are two humongous knobs directly in front of her, and I don’t think those are her elbows.

Die Badende was formed from a steel cage, that was covered with polystyrene, polyester resin, and then finished off with a coat of paint. And although she’s hollow, she weighs a ton – actually two, that is.

Sometimes, all it takes to size an object up is one look. It doesn’t have to be a very long gaze or detailed inspection. And in the case of Sharp’s new AQUOS IS11H Phone, it just takes a second or two to glance at the images and know that these phones are geared towards Japanese women. (Japanese, since they’re being released in Japan for now.)

The entire phone is pink and the phones in the promotional image have a similarly pink and flowery wallpaper to boot. Need I say more?

I don’t know about you, but I’m a girl myself and I do not really find this phone appealing. I mean, it looks okay and all that, but I think there’s such a thing as too much of a thing. Appearances aside, it’s a smartphone that is capable of displaying 3D graphics on a 960×540 3.7-inch display. It runs on Android 2.3 and even has an 8.5 megapixel CMOS camera to boot. You can also use the AQUOS as a mobile wallet and watch some TV on it, and typing is made really easy on it with the slide-out keypad.

All these features make the phone seem and sound more worthwhile. I just can’t swallow all that pink, though. Maybe if it came in black or white… Now that’s more up my alley.

You can cop a feel every single day with these bizarre computer mice shaped like hot women’s torsos. Unfortunately, since they have no heads or limbs, it will probably make you feel like a creepy necrophiliac serial killer type with each right-click.

There are two types available: lingerie torso and cropped World Cup t-shirt torso. All of the torsos are wearing lacy painted underwear which only serves to highlight their unfortunate limblessness.

To add to the perviness factor, the mice are given names like Francesca and Michaela, depending on nationality. Oddly enough both the French and Spanish torsos are named Luisa. Then again, I’m guessing if you are the type to buy a mouse of this nature then such trivialities will not bother you.

As far as a novelty mouse goes, I will grudgingly admit that a woman’s curves do seem like they would make for a pretty ergonomic mousing experience, and it’s clever to make boobs clickable, but that doesn’t make this any less creepy. And if you’re willing to shell out €30 ($45) for one of these, then you’re not only kinda pervy, you’re also pretty spendy. Get them here.
