Snl + Apple Parody Commercials

Snl + Apple Parody Commercials
Yesterday, Saturday Night Live did a not-so-funny parody of Apple’s iPhone announcement during their Weekend Update segment. But that made me think about a couple of times in the past when SNL was a little more on the mark with their Apple parodies… McIntosh Junior: The Power To Crush the Other Kids McIntosh Post-It Notes New iPod Introductions by Steve Jobs Enjoy.

Trade in Your PS2 for PS3, Get $100 Off
One happy side-effect of the relatively poor showing of Sony’s Playstation 3 so far is that it means good deals for consumers. While the PS3 isn’t cheap at $499 to $599, there’s now a way to pick one up for $100 off at your local EBGames/Gamestop stores. Simply bring in your old PS2 system and they’ll give you a $100 discount on your shiny new Playstation 3 console.

Is Microsoft Buying Capcom?

Is Microsoft Buying Capcom?
Now this idea has been bandied about before, but the rumor mill is abuzz today with talk that Microsoft may be nearing completion of a purchase of gaming giant Capcom. Certainly, Capcom has been producing some quality hit titles for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 console of late, with games like Dead Rising and today’s release of Lost Planet receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from gamers. If this rumor is true, it could be another nail in the coffin for the already troubled PlayStation 3, with potential to even further reduce the number of decent titles available for Sony’s flagship “next-gen” console.

The device is comprised of a small wireless receiver that clips onto any notepad, along with a special digital pen that takes ordinary ink cartridges.

Cingular has now posted a page on their site where you can now sign up to be notified when and how to order your Apple iPhone. With all of the excitement about Steve Jobs’ new baby, I think there’s a good chance these things will be going for more than retail on eBay for the first few months.
