Apple today released a series of television advertisements which reveal the official release date for the highly-anticipated iPhone mobile media powerhouse. The ads confirm a release date of June 29, 2007, keeping Apple’s original promise of a June launch.
The new advertisements also show off some new interactions with the user interface in glorious high definition detail. It’s especially cool to see the device smoothly transition between audio player, video player, photo viewer and mobile phone all with just a couple of finger movements across the device’s multi-touch screen. The commercials also show off the iPhone’s e-mail and web browsing capabilities.

Even with a firm release date now, it’s expected that Apple won’t be able to produce enough units to meet early demand, so you’ll probably be waiting a while for yours.
