I was wandering through the cultural wasteland known as YouTube tonight when I came across this masterpiece… Apparently, this guy was participating in a contest to win a trip in some sort of Parappa the Rapper contest to celebrate of the launch of the new game for the PSP.

Is this thing some sort of a light bulb? Not really. A digital alarm clock? Sometimes. How about an LED color-morphing lamp? Sure, when the mood is right. From the side or back, this battery-powered gadget looks just like a traditional light bulb in a socket.

Nintendo today revealed Wii Fit, a new “game” for the Wii that’s all about fitness. What’s interesting about this is the new controller that ships with the game. The small, flat controller, called the “Wii Balance Board,” lays on the ground and detects your body movements as you exercise.

A while back, I showed you a 3rd-party Wii Light Gun controller add-on. Now Nintendo has revealed their own controller accessory, called the Wii Zapper. The new controller has an interesting design the provides a cradle for both the Wii-mote and the Nunchuk controller.

Here’s a really excellent retro-modern wall clock from Dutch designer Frank Clewits for design house Puhlmann. To tell time, the clock uses some unique, forward-facing Nixie vacuum tubes that poke out of the face of a brushed steel plate.

I was digging through the latest FCC approvals earlier today when I happened across this, the latest universal remote control from Philips. According to the user manual, the new remote, called the TSU9400, features a huge 640×480 full color TFT display.

A couple of years back, GoPro introduced a compact wrist-worn digital camera which let you shoot photos while you participated in sporting activities. The problem was that the original only shot really low resolution pics that didn’t look very good.

Designer Philippe Starck is a master of modern minimalism, and his latest timepiece is no exception. His Veiled Watch cleverly conceals an analog watch face behind a specially electroplated crystal that looks like a continuation of the stainless steel watch band.
