Redpost Signbeta: Linux Pic Frame Gets an Upgrade
Almost a year ago a RedPost made news with their hackable Linux picture frame, the RedPost/Kit. Today, the guys at RedPost announced Kit’s better, faster, stronger kid brother, the Signbeta. While it certainly can be used as a digital picture frame, RedPost’s real mission is to replace wasteful paper-covedred bulletin boards with an electronic version.

LED Cube Displays 3d Images in Color
A while back, I reported on James Clar’s cool 3D cubes which could display images using a grid of about 1000 LEDs connected to a computerized controller. While Clar’s cubes are simply amazing, they can only display monochrome images.

Classic Arcade Games Excel in Spreadsheets

Classic Arcade Games Excel in Spreadsheets
Sure, you could use your copy of Microsoft Excel to create the business model for your next big multi-million dollar venture, or to calculate last month’s sales for your used car dealership, but why not put it to some really good use and play some arcade games with it instead? Apparently, programming video games using insanely complex Excel Visual Basic macros is a bit of an art form in Japan.

Star Wars Amigurumi: the Jedi Get Stuffed

Star Wars Amigurumi: the Jedi Get Stuffed
Who says that Star Wars has to be all about manly things like lightsabers, Death Stars and Darth Vader? Why can’t it be about butterflies, puppies and playing with dolls? Crafter Sammi Resendes of Geek Central Station sure thinks that the classic sci-fi epic can be just as sweet as a roomful of cuddly kittens rolled in confectioners sugar.

Motorcycle Casemod Hits Top Speed

Motorcycle Casemod Hits Top Speed
If I saw this brightly glowing motorcycle coming down the street, I’d definitely have to stop and stare. Alas, it’ll never get out of the starting gate. This heavily modded, liquid-cooled PC is strictly for use while parked (unless you want to strap a monitor to your lap while riding, and connect a really long extension cord).

Xbox 360 Chrome Case Adds Hdmi

Xbox 360 Chrome Case Adds Hdmi
A while back, I showed you guys a cool metallic shell for the Xbox 360, but as is the issue with many of these replacement shells, there’s no way to use it with the newer 360 Premium or Elite models which have an HDMI port.

Fun Sonic the Hedgehog Necklace Rules

Fun Sonic the Hedgehog Necklace Rules
Look at this playful shrinky plastic Sonic necklace from Etsy seller geekchicboutique. It’s very cool, but just because I have been charmed and distracted by it doesn’t mean I’ve forsaken my madcap Tetris obsession. I mean, even though the elusive gold rings Sonic loves to collect have been thoughtfully included here doesn’t mean I’ve lost my focus.
