The Katamari Damacy games are beautiful, addictive… and kind of a pain in the butt. You’ve got to get all this stuff, and the King of All Cosmos is so specific, and then there are all the cousins. Who’s got to round them up? You, of course. You have to do everything around the Cosmos. Well, here’s one way to keep those pesky cousins together: hang ’em on the wall.
Actually, I’m not sure what the motivation was behind the Katamari Cousins Project, but in my imagination, it’s frustration–but the good kind. The kind that results in forty paintings, one cousin per painting. And, of course, a classic central scene to anchor the project. No cows, though.
Of course, I can’t help but wonder what the forty-one paintings might look like if they were rolled into a giant canvas Katamari….
