Microsoft launched a new series of advertisements a couple of days ago called Laptop Hunters. Here’s how it works, as explained by Brandon LeBlanc on the Windows team blog: “These new ads trace real people as they go on a hunt for a new laptop…The Laptop Hunters are not told they are taking part in an ad campaign by Microsoft.

What do you get when you take four of your closest friends, attach electrodes to their faces, and then fire off small jolts of electricity to the beats of electronica? Video genius, I say. Tokyo electronic artist / programmer / composer /DJ Daito Manabe connected each of his four friends to the business-end of his “Face Visualizer” device, which shoots computer-controlled myoelectric charges through the wires.

Crochet genius Maggie Wang has been putting her trusty hook to good use creating custom Sackboys (and Sackgirls), and some of her recent creations have a certain old school appeal. While you might expect to see Ulala from Space Channel 5 as a Sackgirl (and she’s just as adorable), Teen Wolf (yes, that one) might be more of a surprise.

It’s really not fair to call this brilliant photoset cosplay; instead, we should call this recreation of Left 4 Dead art. Nightzero’s homage to the zombie apocalypse shooter combines photography, digital art, and yes, okay, cosplay.

According to Yllas, the artist who created these robot sculptures from old electronic parts, camera lenses, and other surplus junque – she was planning on building an evil robot. Instead she ended up with this guy, the Not So Evil Found Object Assemblage Bot.
