Ableton Novation Launchpad Controls Music With Lots of Lights and Buttons

Ableton Novation Launchpad Controls Music With Lots of Lights and Buttons
For digital musicians who have longed for a performance controller for Ableton Live, you’ll be totally stoked to check out this cool new control pod that lets you interact with Ableton Live in real time. Designed as a collaboration between Ableton and Novation, the new Launchpad is a dedicated controller that offers a 64-button grid of backlit buttons which can be used to create and display music sequences using the same sort of interactive interface you might find in a Monome or a Tenori-On. What I really love about the Launchpad is its easy-to-understand layout, along with bright, colorfully-lit LED control buttons to make it perfect for either a studio or live performance setting.

Chasing Time Wall Clock Never Stops Changing Itself

Chasing Time Wall Clock Never Stops Changing Itself
At first glance, this looks like any ordinary old wall clock. But take another look, and you’ll see that there’s nothing ordinary about the way that it works. You see, the hour markers around the perimeter of designer J.P.Meulendijks‘

Briiiiicks in LEGO 4 Dead

Briiiiicks in LEGO 4 Dead
Four brave survivors must stand against the tide of an undead minifig army. Armed with few weapons, two unfortunately bald heads, and a bag full of snappy one-liners, they will repel the brick zombies. Alright, take a moment to admire the beauty and detail.

Snatch This Computer Remote Control for Your iPhone and iPod Touch

Snatch This Computer Remote Control for Your iPhone and iPod Touch
Every day that I use my iPhone, I discover yet another cool trick that I never knew I could do the day before. This time, it comes in the form of a little app called Snatch, which lets you turn your iPhone or iPod Touch into a completely programmable remote for interacting with applications on your Mac or PC.

Star Wars by Gaslight: R2-D2 Goes Steampunk

Star Wars by Gaslight: R2-D2 Goes Steampunk
When I think steampunk, I must say that my mind does not then go immediately to Star Wars. But it’s a rule of the Internet that if two things exist, they must be put together. Hence, the steampunk R2-D2. I can’t say it doesn’t make sense, because if I were to build a steampunk robot, he might end up looking a bit like C-3P0.

Take a Roll Through the Night Sky [Nintendo Wii]

Take a Roll Through the Night Sky [Nintendo Wii]
Ball-rolling just doesn’t sound that exciting. We’ve been there. We’ve done the labyrinths. But let’s not forget that ball-rolling can get crazy (and sticky), and give something a little different a chance, like the gorgeously minimalist Night Sky. Night Sky is all about simplicity.

Musicskins: Loud Designs for Your Gadgets

Musicskins: Loud Designs for Your Gadgets
One of the reasons why Nokia’s cellphones became so popular here in the Philippines was the fact that most of their earlier models had cases that were easy to remove and swap, providing a bit of customization.

Lacie Sound2 USB Speakers Look Like Giant Earphones

Lacie Sound2 USB Speakers Look Like Giant Earphones
LaCie’s Sound² speakers are perfect for ogres, ents and Michael Clarke Duncan. Designed by Neil Poulton, the Sound² kinda look like flattened earphones. Huge flattened earphones. Each speaker measures 7.87 x 5.51 in. LaCie backs up Poulton’s design with French audio company Cabasse‘s technology.

Hello Kitty Mimobots: Too Much Kitty

Hello Kitty Mimobots: Too Much Kitty
To celebrate the insanely popular Hello Kitty’s 35th anniversary, Sanrio teamed up with mimoco to come up with a flash drive cartoon character named Hey Flashy. I’m just kidding, of course they came up with Hello Kitty MIMOBOTs.

Queen Ready to Reign Over Rock Band

Amigurumi Prince Ready to Roll Up All the Yarn

Amigurumi Prince Ready to Roll Up All the Yarn
The world of Katamari Damacy is a strange one, to be sure, but it sure is cute. The Prince and his colorful cousins are each cuter than the others, and though the idea of sticking people and animals to a giant ball and then rolling them around is pretty horrific if you think about it, in Katamari, even this sort of dire torture manages to be adorable.

On Ebay: One “Annoying and Moaning” Grandmother. Free Shipping.
Okay I don’t really know the shipping details of the auction, but a grandma by the name of  Marian Goodall was indeed put up for sale on eBay… by her granddaughter. Ah, kids; sometimes you just wanna hug ’em, just give ’em a good old one-handed hug, and then punch their little heads in with your free hand.

Microsia Makes Molecular Music

Microsia Makes Molecular Music
Here’s a cool little PC program for creating ambient electronic music. And it sure looks purty while it’s doing it. The setting for Andreas Illiger’s Microsia is inside of a virtual “plant cell” of a leaf.

Xbox 360 Controller Sings the Blues in the Xcm Blue Blood

Xbox 360 Controller Sings the Blues in the Xcm Blue Blood
Looking for an Xbox 360 controller that’ll really make a splash when you have your friends over to play some games? Check out this beautiful blue beast from XCM. The cool thing about the XCM Blue Blood is that it’s actually a kit that you can use to mod your boring white Xbox 360 controller into a thing of true beauty. Not only does the Blue Blood controller shell have the perfect electric blue finish, it’s super shiny, and comes with an improved D-pad design that’s larger and easier to move than the stock 360 controller.

Alessi Laser Shot Watch Projects Time on Your Wrist, Won’T Burn Holes in Your Skin

Alessi Laser Shot Watch Projects Time on Your Wrist, Won’T Burn Holes in Your Skin
This offbeat watch design is merely a concept at this point, but I actually kind of like the idea. The Alessi Laser Shot watch is supposed to project the current time on your wrist using (frickin’) laser beams. Designer Andy Kurovets envisioned this über-modern watch concept that uses a modulated laser scanner to projects the time onto the surface of your wrist.

Tiny Living Room Makes Its Way Inside Pc [Casemod]

Tiny Living Room Makes Its Way Inside Pc [Casemod]
For starters I’ll mention that I’m not sure from whence these photos originate, but when I saw them over on Russian casemod site Modding.Ru, I had to post them. From the looks of these pics, it looks like a tiny little family has moved into this warm and cozy computer living room and set up their home.
