Vj Fader’S Fadertouch Touchscreen a/V Interface Lets Audience See What He’S Playing
Live audio-visual artist VJ Fader tipped me off about this cool visual interface he built for manipulating music and images in real-time. The faderTouch 3.0 isn’t just your run-of-the-mill sequencer. Nope, the unique portable device features an innovative rear-projection system that allows not only VJ, but his audience to watch the on-screen action.

Ratchet & Clank Vinyl Figures: Toys of Adorableness

Ratchet & Clank Vinyl Figures: Toys of Adorableness
Months ago, I posted about a set of Ratchet & Clank vinyl figures created by two of Insomniac Games’ employees. Unfortunately, they were made exclusively for the good folks at Insomniac. Only a few sets managed to get into public hands, and those were through auctions.

Cheap Nintendo Ds Lite Clone: the Perfect Gift for Rude Little Children
Do you have a niece, nephew, neighbor or other bratty little kid who you just can’t stand? Here’s the perfect present for somebody who just doesn’t deserve to be spoiled. This handheld video game system thing might look like a Nintendo DS Lite from a distance, but on closer inspection, you’ll see it’s a really cheap Chinese fake.

The Biggest Fly You’Ll See Today

The Biggest Fly You’Ll See Today
How’s this for truth in advertising… This crazy thing could actually be the biggest fly you’ll see this year. Turns out this mammoth-sized bug was created by the guys over at Plunge Productions for a recent show on UK channel T4 called Red Bull Rivals.

Boogie Board is the $30 Tablet

Boogie Board is the $30 Tablet
This isn’t really a tablet PC per se, but it aims at replacing paper pads efficiently with a special kind of rewriteable LCD display. The Boogie Board Paperless LCD Writing Tablet is made by Improv Electronics and uses something called Reflex LCD, which is a pressure-sensitive, flexible plastic LCD that doesn’t require any power to retain what’s written on it.

Sleep Remaining Indicator: Neither an Alarm Nor a Clock, but It Involves Legos and a Laser So Who Cares?
So what is it really? It is exactly what it says it is. Made by Nirav Patel, the Sleep Remaining Indicator is a homemade gadget that indicates how long you have to sleep by shining a laser beam on the ceiling (or I guess wherever you want it to shine).

Green Man Gaming Will Buy Back Your Virtual Cobweb Covered Digital Games
In a recent interview with MCV, Green Man Gaming COO Gian Luzio identified one of the reasons why games on physical discs are more popular than digitally downloaded ones: “Previously the minute you had paid your money and downloaded your game it had no re-sale value.” Note the “Previously”, because his company has come to save the day.

Nolan’S Cheddar Animatronic Short Film: This is Why the Internet Exists

Nolan’S Cheddar Animatronic Short Film: This is Why the Internet Exists
…so we can watch tiny slices of awesome like this, one short clip after the other, and before you know it, another day at the office is done. It’s true; I asked DARPA. It took animatronics expert John Nolan – he’s worked on lots of films, including Harry Potter, Where the Wild Things Are, and Clash of the Titans – two months to make the 1 min, 28 sec long faux-ad Nolan’s Cheddar.

Steampunk “Eye-Pod” Ain’T No Nano No Mo

Steampunk “Eye-Pod” Ain’T No Nano No Mo
Created by “Dr Grymm,” this steampunk contraption bears absolutely no resemblance to the iPod Nano that beats at its heart. I’ll leave it to Dr Grymm himself to explain his creation: “A custom mod of an Apple iPod Nano 1st Gen.

Abigs T6 & D7 Wireless Media Players Jump Into the HD Fray

Abigs T6 & D7 Wireless Media Players Jump Into the HD Fray
Hot off the heels of the CES show, the market is flush with countless set-top media player boxes – my personal favorite being the upcoming Boxee Box. But even the Boxee Box doesn’t have tons of local storage.

Feisbuk is the Analog Version of Facebook

Feisbuk is the Analog Version of Facebook
Getting tired of wasting all your time online on facebook? Well, I discovered a great solution to your problems. DIY iPhone Touchscreen Kitchen Computer: Not the Apple Tablet

DIY iPhone Touchscreen Kitchen Computer: Not the Apple Tablet
The annoying about having a computer in the kitchen is that you lose valuable counter space to a keyboard and a mouse. Here’s a cool idea for a touchscreen computer that’s the perfect kitchen computer to surf on and to check recipes.

Xbox 360 All Spark Casemod: Less Than Meets the Eye

Xbox 360 All Spark Casemod: Less Than Meets the Eye
Flickr user/human Cybertronian/modder givintats made an All Spark…case. While it won’t be giving life to gadgets (or pwning Megatron, a paradoxical ability that for some reason Optimus Prime only revealed when he was about to die again), I must admit it must be awesome to sit down and power up an ancient (looking) cube for some gaming.

Acer G7750-A64 Predator Pc Will Devour Your Savings
The latest iteration of Acer’s Predator gaming PC still has its trademark Decepticon look, but it’s dominant black makes it a bit more menacing than its predominantly orange predecessors.
