Not to be confused with Guru Bhakti, the GuruBhakts are special robots designed to operate in a “follow-the-leader” mode. The ultimate plan for these ‘bots is to allow a remote driver to steer a single robot into a hazardous environment, and the other robots would follow in turn from that single set of actions.

Boy, it seems like forever since we featured any sort of Space Invaders goodies on the site. Thankfully, the Invaders’ drought appears to be over. Whether or not you like to throw extra seasonings on your food, you’ve got to love these Space Invaders salt and pepper shakers if you’ve got even a bit of 8-bit spirit.

I love my wife and kids, but sometimes I just want to line them up and smack ’em all at one time. I bet all of you know exactly what I mean. One of the things that used to drive me crazy was that I was the only one in the house who could figure out how to press a button on the remote and choose an input to change from cable to the PS3.

The great thing about LEGO bricks is that they can be used to build lots of different things from the same parts. Take this as an example: Martin Latta used the pieces from a 7685 Dozer kit to build a Star Wars pod racer.

You’ve probably seen or heard about this little robot, the Honda Asimo. Well, after 13 years, it was time for a much needed redesign. This is actually Honda’s 4th version of the robot. The 3rd version was released in 1997, so it took Honda 13 years to do it.

Shellhead turns to Spudhead with the inevitable movie merchandise: the Iron Man Mr. Potato Head. Tony Starch comes with removable parts and pieces, and his head can be replaced with any Mr. Potato Head um, head.

…just like a certain species. While Peppy can’t walk or talk or hold things like other advanced robots, he’s been programmed to exhibit a very human trait: discontent, and in a way, greed. By default, Peppy wants to get a hold of his green balloon.

Who says LEGOs have no place in the grown-up world? The table was made by abgc architecture for ad agency Boys And Girls. The agency revamped their new Dublin offices, which had “décor that was decidedly solicitory” and turned it into a simple and bright space similar to an art gallery, with the LEGO table as the centerpiece.

So with the Nintendo DSi XL having just hit U.S. stores this week, word is floating around the web that Nintendo is already working on a brand-new handheld that will support true 3D graphics. While there are no images of the 3DS yet, what I have here is a video – no, not of the Nintendo 3DS.

When I am working on the road I use a netbook, because hefting even a thinnish ultraportable around all day can be a literal pain. I am all for smaller notebooks and netbooks, as long as they offer enough power to work and are comfortable to use.

Caldwell Tanner is a cartoonist for College Humor and he made this great little cartoon comparing the different browsers to their equivalent modes of transportation… I found this hilarious, especially when I saw what he chose to represent Firefox.

I don’t know why there aren’t more cables that light up, but I have to say that these iPod/iPhone charging cables look pretty sweet. This cable runs from your iPod or iPhone to your computer or power plug.

Chargers and data cables are very useful but it can be quite a pain to lug them around. Scosche presents an elegant solution for iPhone and iPod Touch owners, with the flipSYNC USB charger and transfer cable.
