This pretty much sums up way that people will buy just about anything that Apple makes, even if there’s more advanced technology out on the market.
Be warned, if you’re an Apple fanboy or fangirl, you will be offended.
It seems to me that a Sony PS3 might be a little big and heavy for lugging around your portable electronic gadgets inside of. But this is a tiny, soft PS3 we’re talking about, so maybe it’s not that bad.
Rabbitrampage has made this fun PS3-inspired carrying case that’s perfect for an iPhone, a small media player or mobile phone.
A Japanese media retailer called Geo reportedly revealed that a Sony PSP-4000 would be coming out this year. I say “reportedly” because the leak is in Japanese; the PSP-4000 is mentioned at the bottom of the chart you see below.
I got many of the ideas for torturing my brother as a kid from Looney Tunes. In several of the cartoons, the characters shot plungers from a bow and arrow at people who bothered them. I once stuck a plunger to my brother’s face and it actually did stick.
While I’ve never thought of AT-ATs or Imperial Walkers from Star Wars as particularly cute, the following video definitely presents them as a nice robotic pet to have around. I can already see the animated version coming to a HDTV near you!
A new trailer for the upcoming Nintendo DS game Pokémon Black/White offers a peek into some of the game’s new monsters and new features, including team battles – the trailer showed 2-on-2 and 3-on-3 fights. I wonder if the game will have pokémans so tough that you’ll have to use all six of your monsters at once just to beat one of them.
Is this really Chewie, or just an Ewok with a belt around its torso?
Wookie or not, this backpack is cute, especially compared to the Yoda Back Buddy, which is kinda creepy. You can order the Chewbacca Back Buddy at Entertainment Earth for $40 (USD).
What could be better than a life-size TARDIS in your living room? I’ll tell you what. A life-size TARDIS in your living room with a retro arcade system built into it.
Sure, modder Simon Jansen probably had to do away with the TARDIS’ time-travel abilities in order to make way for all the arcade parts, but the end result is more than worth it.
Vending machine technology hasn’t really changed that much in the last 20 years. Sure Coca-Cola has started to roll out their awesome Freestyle custom drink machine, but that’s not really a vending machine – it’s more of a soda fountain for the 21st century.
A sonar-equipped remote-controlled buoy called EMILY (EMergency Integrated Lifesaving lanYard) might someday replace human lifeguards. For now, EMILYs are being used only in Zuma Beach in Malibu, California, but they’ll be watching over 25 more beaches by December.
What every evil robot baby wants: a Mr. Masters poster, featuring 80 of the vilest Robot Masters that Mega Man has ever faced, mashed-up with Mr. Men characters.
These cute villains were drawn by Steve Napierski.
It seems as if every day, somebody comes up with a new way of using your iPhone. The latest unconventional use for the iPhone? Teleprompter.
The Prompt-it kit lets you set up your iPhone as a mini-teleprompter, so you can read your lines, while still looking squarely at the camera.
The world is presently going bonkers over the World Cup, which happens every four years. The US did really well in a recent match, which was promptly reenacted with LEGOs to commemorate the momentous occasion.
I don’t know what’s more amazing, this little stop-motion reenactment or the fact that the USA is actually doing pretty well in the World Cup this year.
oI have a few hard and fast rules when it comes to fashion. No flip-flops or sandals unless you are at the beach is the first. No hoodies once you are old enough to make your own clothing purchases – unless you are running a marathon in the cold is the second.
