See if you can name all of the iconic retro images you’ll find in cutoutpaper’s Retro Laser Cut art.
I definitely recognize my Speak & Spell, NES controller, Casio calculator watch, Etch-a-Sketch, ViewMaster, Atari joystick and Rubik’s Cube.
There was a show on when I was in first grade called That’s Incredible. I loved that show and I remember this one dude came on the show that could eat glass. I thought if I could do that in the lunchroom I could totally hold hands with a third grade girl that sat across from me at lunch because no girl can resist a glass eater.
There have been a bunch of replicas of the Batpod, which was made famous in the most recent Batman movie The Dark Knight, but this is one of the rare ones that’s street legal. At least, I hope so.
This replica, dubbed the PS-Pod, for Pankaj Shah, the current owner, was commissioned by Chopper City USA and uses an all metal bodywork.
As you might already know, I really like Darth Vader. As such, I tend to notice any type of art or photos that are published about this iconic Star Wars character. While I haven’t been able to find out much about this image, it’s definitely a good one.
I can already imagine what’s going on in Darth Vader’s mind.
I was buzzing about over on the Star Wars Shop when I came across these nifty new wall lights, perfect for any Star Wars themed room.
Each wall-mountable light measures 27-inches tall, and has LEDs inside its lightsaber blade which can produce seven colorful effects.
According to AppleInsider, Apple has contacted retailers about impending shortages of the Apple iMac, suggesting that a new model may be forthcoming. This isn’t exactly news, because Apple’s desktop line really is due for an internal upgrade.
…not Metal Gear Snake, but the plain old cellphone game Snake. Amazingly enough, all you have to do is tap or hold the Left arrow key on your keyboard, and a snake will appear, along with dots that you can eat to grow larger.
Don’t believe it?
While many of the unusual electronic watches coming out of Asia feature complex displays that border on insane (you hear us Tokyoflash?), this LED watch is about as simple as we can imagine.
The ABYSS watch has no hands.
Music pattern-matching games like Guitar Hero owe a lot to the early electronic games of the 1970s like Simon and Merlin. Now Mattel is back with a brand new music game which feels like a modern homage to the classics.
Instead of pushing buttons like the old games, LOOPZ uses a set of infrared beam sensors to detect when you place your hand through four semi-circular rings.
Kidnapped by his devotion to tinkering, a man named Chein was forced by boredom to create the Repulsor Beam Blaster, and with its trademark flash of light he became known as…the Iron Photographer.
Actually, Chein’s weapon really can cause harm , in this case temporary blindness.
Some of the cast of The Avengers movie showed up on stage at Comic-Con 2010:
So that’s Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), SHIELD Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg), Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Human Torch Lucas Lee Capt.
If you’re looking for a cool visual accent for your office, I can’t think of anything better than this mesmerizing LED light cube from the guys at Hi-Tec Art.
The clear acrylic LED cube features 64 RGB LEDs, wired together into a 4x4x4 grid, connected to a controller circuit.
Now I’ll start out by saying that I really like pancakes. There’s nothing like a little carb-loading in the morning to get me going. Ok, the only place a tall stack of yummy pancakes, drenched with maple syrup and butter gets me going is straight to the couch.
I don’t think that Han Solo ever intended that the Millennium Falcon would be used as a model for a guitar, but musically inclined Star Wars geeks will rejoice when they see this nifty axe made to look like Solo’s ship.
This custom electric guitar was built by Travis S.
I am willing to bet that growing up your dad thought it was funny to rip a smelly fart when you were sitting nearby. If you have someone living in your home that likes cut the cheese, you might want to play a trick on them this remote control that changes to random channels when they pass gas.
