Beltone Bluetooth Hearing Aid Helps Grandma on Her Cellphone

 |  |  |  |  August 19, 2010

My grandmother is pretty much deaf. You have to yell to get her to understand anything you are saying and if she calls to talk to you on the phone, you can count on her not understanding half the conversation. She’s also the sort that will let you talk for ten minutes before she tells you that she can’t hear a word you are saying, then ask you to start over.

She has a mobile phone that she uses on occasion and I think the perfect accessory for her would be this new Beltone hearing aid. With this thing she can hear in a normal conversation as any hearing aid would let her.

What the new Beltone True has that other hearing aids don’t is Bluetooth technology. The hearing aid will connect to her mobile phone wirelessly so she can hear calls better. It even has a mic that attaches to her clothes. The downside is that if the phone loses the Bluetooth connection, she’ll never figure out what’s wrong. The True also has 2.4GHz wireless tech to stream sound from the TV or radio as well.
