We talked about that new Apple TV when it first launched early this month. The thing is now getting into the hands of geeks around the country and naturally, iFixit has ripped theirs to pieces so you can get your gadget porn fill for the day.

While I did have to take Latin in 7th and 8th grade, most of it has either been stashed away deep in the recesses of my brain or forgotten. Probably the latter. However, I really like the fact that Google Translate can now translate into Latin, which is considered a dead language.

OK, I am a geek. I can admit that and have no problem with that fact. I do have standards though, and draw the line when things go from geeky to downright weird. I think the new Batman TDK Utility Pouch may have dissolved that line quite well.

Any man who has ever ended up shopping at the mall with his wife/girlfriend is very familiar with the guy chair. The lone chair sitting there so the guys outside the dressing room holding a purse for their lady have a place to sit while they wait for the inevitable truth, often hours later, that the lady in question didn’t like anything they tried on.

I like the idea of 3D in my home and on my computer, but I refuse to pay a premium for the feature, and then have to wear those stupid glasses. We all know that the tech needed for 3D with no glasses is in development, and for the most part the manufacturers are using the early systems’ need for active glasses as a way to make more money.

Ah Raytheon, just the name scares some guys silly. Raytheon is a defense contractor and they’ve released some new information and videos of their new exoskeleton called the XOS 2. And no, this isn’t science-fiction. This is the closest that anyone has come to a fully functioning military exoskeleton.

I have to say that this Predator costume by Shawn Thorsson of Petaluma, CA, is really amazing. This costume was made for Halloween 2005, but this write-up and photos are recent. I wonder what Shawn will make for this year’s Halloween?

What is it with George Lucas’ incessant need to monkey with his original Star Wars flicks? First, he had to go and add a bunch of stupid, out-of-place CGI to the last major re-release, and now he’s planning on releasing them in 3D.

Logitech has unveiled a new headset for gamers that will work with multiple gaming devices. The headset will connect with three different audio sources like the PS3, Xbox, and PC. It also supports wireless voice chats for in game audio and more.
