You know the Daleks? Those pesky cybernetic lifeforms from Doctor Who, which are supposed to be the epitome of living and cybernetic organisms? Well, apparently if you had written to the BBC in the 1970s or 1980s asking them information about how to build your own, they would have sent you these plans.

Ah, Robocop. Needless to say that I’ve watched the movie quite a few times and I found it interesting to see that someone had done an illustration of what the insides of Robocop might actually look like.

Gamers like to have peripherals like mice and keyboards that are designed specifically for gaming. Many gamers don’t like the normal keyboard for gaming and would like to have something that is more tuned to playing games specifically than typing.

When it comes to DIY stuff, the most I can muster is following the directions well enough to bolt a new gadget together. If it comes to actually making all those parts you have to put together I know better than to try.

Dr. Petar Kormushev and his colleagues at the Italian Institute of Technology’s (IIT) Advanced Robotics Dept. love to teach human skills to robots. At first they were satisfied with harmless activities, like flipping pancakes, but now I’m starting to feel threatened by their research.

Remember the guy who created those goofy walking iPad and iPhone robots? Well, Terasaki-san is back with a new addition to his i-Family, the iPod nanobot 6G. By building one of his walking contraptions onto the back of his brand new 6G iPod nano, and giving it a face, he’s created the cutest darned anthropomorphized iPod nano ever.

The Internet has been filled with rumors of Facebook working on their own mobile phones. Am I excited? Not really. I doubt that they’ll come up with anything novel. Still, it remains to be seen what the 4.9-billion-dollar man, Mark Zuckerberg, has up his platinum and diamond-encrusted sleeves.

It looks like HP’s foray into the tablet world has been finally shown up in an actual, functional device. The HP Slate looks interesting enough. The only concern is, how will it be priced? Because we can tell you that the Samsung Galaxy is priced higher than an iPad.

Like the awesome RACER concept, the Robot Survival Games are real world matches but not directly between human players. Competitors use robots armed with airsoft guns; they control the robots remotely and use on-board cameras to help them navigate.

I have an iPad and an iPhone, and I really have no issues using the onscreen keyboard for most tasks. However, if I am doing something like an email or surfing the web where I will be typing a lot, a keyboard would be appreciated.

Yet more proof that awesome things never happen where I live. Vooks community member Excite posted these photos of the “History of Super Mario Bros.” caravan, which stopped at Parramatta in New South Wales, Australia. Even though the caravan was modest, to say the least, especially considering that this is Mario and Nintendo we’re talking about, it did have plenty of stuff to offer.

Kid’s today are so lucky. When I was a kid, if you wanted to play a video game you had to have a bunch of wires and a giant console. Today, my kids have better graphics on a iPod than my Nintendo had.
