When John Leung of Australia’s Clarke Hopkins Clarke architects first sent me details on this unusual clock, I thought – “how the heck do you tell time on that?”
Well, it turns out that the Parallel of Time clock is actually an assemblage of multiple clock faces, precisely coordinated and connected via parallel cables. When running, the parallelogram effect is really cool. Then after you squint for second or two, you realize that the hands work just like a normal clock – so it’s actually quite easy to read, while still looking like a work of art.
