We talked a bit about the ApplePeel 520 for the iPod Touch back in July. This case turns the Touch into a mobile phone sort of like the iPhone. The device is made by a company called Yosion. Today, word has surfaced from GSLO that it will be funding the development of the ApplePeel 520 for the iPad.
Pictured above is the iPod Touch version, but the iPad version should be basically the same, just bigger. Honestly, being able to make voice calls from my iPad isn’t that appealing to me. I don’t want to have to carry it when I am not planning to read or surf the web.
What is interesting to me about the possibility of an iPad version is if the thing is cheap and will allow me to get a 3G connection on my iPad that is WiFi only. GSLO is also working to get the ApplePeel 520 ready for the US market as well with no firm time frame on availability for either product in the states.
