Portal Gun Replica is Definitely Not a Lie

How’d you like to own a gun that looks just like the one from Portal? You know, the one that can blow holes in surfaces, letting you pass through walls and objects? Thanks to artist Harrison Krix of Volpin Props (the same guy who did this awesome Daft Punk helmet), this one could be yours.

Harrison created this replica which not only looks like the Portal gun, it makes authentic sounds and changes colors like the one in the game. Check it out in action in the video clip below…

Best part about this particular one is that you have a chance to own it. The gun is being auctioned off on Dec. 7th at a charity dinner for Child’s Play, a non-profit funded by over 100,000 gamers around the globe to help provide for sick children in hospitals across North America, and beyond. Of course, the dinner is being held in Seattle, WA, and it’s already sold out so you might need to know someone who knows someone if you want a shot at bidding on this thing.

Find a ton of photos of the Portal gun over on Flickr, and the full build log on Volpin Props.
