The iPad’s size makes it a great portable computer. I think 10 inches is the sweet spot for browsing and watching videos. Unfortunately it also makes for an unwieldy gadget that’s hard to hold on to without a case. ColorWare came out with a solution the only way they know how – by making an insanely expensive product that comes in a bajillion colors. If you really need a better way to hold your iPad but are sensible enough to not buy ColorWare’s Grip, you may want to check out Padlette.
The Padlette is a silicone strap that’s attached diagonally to the iPad. Your hand should fit nicely in the hole in the middle, much like the hole in a painter’s palette. Since it’s flexible, you can still use it even if your tablet has a protective case or sleeve.
http://vimeo.com/17479156Padlette comes in seven colors, including a glow-in-the-dark variant. It certainly pales in comparison to ColorWare’s color options, but at least it only costs $25 (USD), not $300. You can get it now from One Hand Clapping.
