iPhone 4 + HTC Aria + Game Boy = My Brain Hurts

 |  |  |  |  |  |  |  |  |  December 29, 2010

I really have no idea what’s going on here, but this hack involves an iPhone 4, and HTC Aria Android OS phone and an old Game Boy.

Best I can tell, Goteking’s Game Boy has been hollowed out and the Aria is set up to replace its display. I think. But wait. Why is the display facing the back of the Game Boy in one photo, and the front in another?

Maybe this video clip will help set us straight on what the purpose of this thing is:

Nope, now I’m even more confused. Wait, it’s not even an actual iPhone? It’s a case from a cheap iPhone knock-off that’s had its innards replaced with some LEDs. Huh, wha?

The whole thing sorta reminds me of the time the Flight of the Conchords made a camera phone by duct-taping an old camera to a cellphone. Anyone want to take a stab as to what the deal is with this mutant?

I don’t know about you guys, but I think Goteking’s Dreamcast/iPod Nano mashup was much more sane.
