The Silent Hill video game series always gave me the creeps. There aren’t too many games that made me jump out of my seat at times, but those games always had me on edge. Sure there was Pyramid Head, but they also had those really creepy Bubble Head Nurses starting in Silent Hill 2.

My aunt once dated a nutbag that collected all sorts of weapons from a Howitzer to a fully automatic assault rifle. I got to fire that assault rifle once, and the volume of noise coupled with the recoil from the thing made it impossible to tell how many rounds came out each time I pulled the trigger.

The last time I took my kids to the movies, we saw a preview for the animated flick Rio and it looked cool. Now each time we see a bird on TV my daughter reminds me I promised to take her to see that movie with the bird that can’t fly.

I have tried my hand at flying remote control helicopters a few times. Once the copter flew away never to be seen again. I suspect this was a response to seeing how poorly I landed my RC plane.

There are a few desktop handsets for your iPhone, but this one is quite minimal, which makes it more attractive than some of the others out there. I guess something like this makes sense if you’re using the iPhone as your main home phone.

What can I say? I don’t think I’d ever use Sesame Street iDevice gear, but I can imagine quite a few adults who will use this because it’s cute and it reminds them of their childhood.

This unusual watch concept from the Ukraine gets its inspiration from cigarette lighters. Actually, at first glance at the Lightning LED watch concept, I thought it looked like an electric cooktop, but then those tiny blue and yellow “flames” that go around the perimeter to indicate hours and minutes threw me.

A company called Sonitus Medical has developed a unique way of providing hearing for people who are deaf in one ear. The cleverly named SoundBite hearing system is composed of two electronic devices, the Behind The Ear (BTE) unit and the In The Mouth (ITM) unit.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is still quite watchable after all these years. Heck, I watched them as recently as two years ago and they were pretty fun. Now it seems that all of you anime geeks will be able to fulfill your dream of staying in an Evangelion-themed hotel room.

Pioneer Electronics has a line of high-end gear that it sells under its Elite brand. That gear has Blu-ray players and AV receivers among other things and all of the gear is high-end and expensive. The line at one point had produced TVs as well, but those were discontinued.
