I haven’t featured a lamp up here in a while because I really haven’t seen anything that’s all that cool floating around. But when I stumbled onto this mechanical wood marvel, I knew I had to find out more about it.
A while back, I showed you guys a casemod that took the original toilet-seat shaped iBook laptop and turned it into an iPad dock. While that thing definitely had questionable looks, at least this iBook/iPad mash-up mod is a little easier on the eyes.
A true testament that exhibits just how strapped for time everyone is nowadays is evident with just how many clocks there are out there. For example, there are two clocks in my room: one in front of the bed, and one hung on the space above the TV.
SA Photonics released this crazy-looking helmet, to make everyone look dorkier. It’s called the High Resolution Night Vision System (HRNVS) and improves on previous night vision technology by providing high-resolution sensors. The big thing is that the sensors are arranged over a field of view of 80 degrees, which is double what other night vision gear offers.
Video game modder Goteking gutted out a couple of Game Boys and used their carcasses as protective cases for his Nintendo 3DS. It’s quite brutal if you think about it, using your ancestor’s corpse to protect yourself.
I’m egg-static to introduce this egg-citing new egg cup that will revolutionize how you enjoy your eggs. (Okay, I will stop with the egg-streme overuse of the egg-words now. I just couldn’t resist.)
Anyway, remember those Ovalia Egg Chairs that were such a hit in the sixties?
While the steampunk Iron Man costume might not have been easy to reproduce, that didn’t stop toy modder Jonathan Kuriscak from putting together this cool-looking steampunk tribute to Iron Man – in miniature form. It’s pretty detailed and Kuriscak is selling it on eBay right now.
I wonder who’ll get more put off by this shirt, a hardcore Trekkie or a devoted Star Wars fan. I actually searched online to see if there was a special term to call Star Wars fan and found this thread on the official SW forum, but none of the suggestions are worth using.
If you’ve just moved into a bare, new apartment and find yourself strapped for cash, then the Land Peel could very well be your next best friend. You don’t have to spring for any furniture or desks or chairs or dining tables, for that matter.
Stealing is bad. Personally, I think all thieves should have their gonads stomped into a little pile of goo. Cameron Pittman should be the first recipient of said punishment to remove his DNA from the gene pool.
Can a Slurpee really make for a news story? If it features a revolutionary dual-flavored Slurpee, I don’t see why not. Thanks to 7-Eleven’s crazy new double-Slurpee cup you’ll be able to get a brain freeze from two flavors at the same time.
I’ve been thinking about investing in a good DSLR for a long time now, but I never really committed or made good on it. First, because I don’t know squat about ISOs and post-processing. And second, because I get intimidated to pieces whenever I walk inside the camera shop and see rows and rows of huge, black SLRs just waiting to be lifted back home.
If you were sitting on your couch, drinking tea with your pinky sticking out as you waited for your butler to bring you your sugar cubes reading about that giant 103-inch BeoVision 4 TV from Bang & Olufsen back in 2009 and wondered what sort of ostentatious prick would buy such a massive and overpriced set, B&O has something slightly less snooty for you.
Toshiba has been selling notebooks for a long time now, but the company is probably more known for its line of TVs. The company has unveiled a new Android tablet called the Regza AT300. The tablet is able to use the apps that Toshiba has for its Regza TVs and can be used as a remote control for the sets too.
AT&T has offered up its financials for Q1 2011 and while I care nothing for how much money the wireless carrier made, I am curious to learn what happened with the iPhone over the quarter. With Verizon now offering the iPhone 4, many of us expect that AT&T may quickly start to see the err in the ways it treated iPhone users in the form of mass defections.
Didn’t I read somewhere that too much sitting down is slowly killing us all? Well, apparently this isn’t a problem for a young Iranian designer Mohamad Sadegh Darounkolayi, who’d like to see everyone prance around in these motorized chairs, reminiscent of what we saw in WALL-E.
