NVIDIA Wired 3D Glasses: Cheaper, But Does Anybody Still Want 3D?
NVIDIA just announced the launch of these new wired 3D Vision glasses, which are supposed to be more cost effective than their 3D Vision active shutter glasses. These 3D glasses connect to your PC via USB, getting power and data over the cable rather than infrared signals.

Sixaxis Emulator Tricks PS3, Lets You Use Mouse and Keyboard as Controller
It’s been almost a year since we featured the Eagle Eye, a commercially-available USB adapter for the PS3 that lets users use both a keyboard and a mouse with the console. Here’s a more-or-less free alternative from hacker Matlo, who is working on a program that tricks a PS3 into thinking that your PC is a Sixaxis controller, letting you use mice, keyboards and other PC peripherals to play games on the PS3.

LEGO LOTR Garrison of Moria: Bricks Gone Wild

LEGO LOTR Garrison of Moria: Bricks Gone Wild
One of the most impressive scenes in the LOTR books and movies is the Garrison of Moria. The incredible beauty and vastness of Moria was captured by a LEGO fan, who decided to convert a whole room into a tribute to this immense structure.

The Cursor is Mightier Than the Sword

The Cursor is Mightier Than the Sword
… having said that, I’m a bit miffed that this chart omitted the pen.

HxC SD Card Drive Emulates 3.5″ Floppy Disks
If you ever wanted a better way to get tons of data onto an old gadget that used floppy drives, I might just have the trick. This nifty little gadget replaces old 3.5″ floppy drives with an SD/SDHC memory card reader.

Japan’s Iron Man 2 Flash Drives Way Better Than America’s

Japan’s Iron Man 2 Flash Drives Way Better Than America’s
Back when Iron Man 2 came out, there were some Iron Man USB flash drives floating around, and I have to say I thought they were kind of silly looking. They looked more like bobble-heads to me than a serious action hero collectible.

World’s Most Expensive Camera Sold for $1.9 Million
How much would you pay for an old Leica? Hundreds? Thousands? How about $1.9 million (€1.3 million)? That’s how much this Leica 0-Serie Nr.107 fetched at auction. This camera is one of only 25 that were made back in 1923.

Fujitsu Lifebook Frame Concept: Too Wide for Its Own Good?

Fujitsu Lifebook Frame Concept: Too Wide for Its Own Good?
I get that widescreen tablets might work for some people, but ultimately, their proportions make them harder to do anything but watch movies on them. Still, this widescreen portable concept looks interesting. As with some of the other concepts in the ‘A Life with Future Computing‘ designboom curated Fujitsu competition, it showcases some interesting features.

Lions Take Off With Camcorder, Still Shoot Video

Lions Take Off With Camcorder, Still Shoot Video
I used to know a guy whose lifelong dream was to go to Africa and go on a safari to see the animals. I always thought the dude was crazy; I am not going anywhere that has animals that can eat me.

Shredder Alarm Clock Concept: You Snooze, You Lose Money

Shredder Alarm Clock Concept: You Snooze, You Lose Money
We’ve featured a clock that won’t shut off its alarm until you deposit some money into it. This concept on the other hand, is the unholy opposite – once the alarm kicks in, it will start shredding money and will obviously keep going until you turn the alarm off.

Leather QWERTY Wallet Doesn’t Type, But It Should

Leather QWERTY Wallet Doesn’t Type, But It Should
There was a time when I tried living without a wallet, and after losing a few important cards, I quickly reverted to carrying one again. This QWERTY leather wallet is certainly distinctive with its keyboard embossing and will serve all geeks well.

Nice Ball Lamp Looks Like a Katamari

Nice Ball Lamp Looks Like a Katamari
Actually this lamp doesn’t have anything to do with Katamari Damacy, but it sure looks like it, doesn’t it? Designer Paola Pivi’s Nice Ball is a hanging lamp covered with tiny replicas of 80 chairs and tables from the Vitra Design Museum collection.

It’s Dangerous to Bathe Alone! Take This Zelda Towel
With its big and bright Legend of Zelda crest, this towel could earn you new gamer friends at the beach. And when you’re giving up on getting through the Water Temple, this is the appropriate towel to throw.

Disney Tactile Brush Seat to Add Realism to Games and Movies

Disney Tactile Brush Seat to Add Realism to Games and Movies
I like a lot of realism in my games – and movies to a point. I would love to have a chair that allows me to feel the forces exerted on the body during a real car race for instance.

LEGO Ukulele Perfect for Geeky Hawaiians

LEGO Ukulele Perfect for Geeky Hawaiians
I took guitar lessons when I was a kid, but I never practiced because practicing anything wasn’t for me. The instructor kicked me out of class, and I moved on with my life. I have never seen a ukulele in real life, but I always thing of big Hawaiian dudes playing them as people get off a ship.
