Ok, I’m the first to say that we’ve featured some difficult to read timepieces here on Technabob over the years, but at least there’s usually some way to explain how to read them. For the first time, here’s one watch that I have absolutely no idea how to tell the time.

Remember that part of Portal 2 where GLaDOS turns into a potato? How could you not? And if you need something to remind you about the all-knowing-all-seeing Aperture Laboratories testmaster in spud form, how about a soft and squishy plush version?

All the movies I have seen where a group of soldiers need to travel quietly they always use hand signals to let everyone know what is going on. The thing that is bad about that is in the dark, there is no way for the other people to see hand signals.

I happen to think watching tennis is right up there with watching golf and watching paint dry. The sports might be fun to play, but watching them on TV leaves me in a bored stupor. I also don’t care for watching soccer on TV, but I do recall when the World Cup was going on all those fans who brought out those noisy Vuvuzela horns.

The Android versus iPhone fanboy battle is almost as bad as the Mac versus PC war. There are few things in the world for an Android lover worse than not having a cool app or feature that iOS devices get.

Artoo has saved his friends and allies countless times and in many different ways – he’s hacked security systems, sprayed oil to foil would-be attackers and of course repaired ships. But now it’s your turn to help everyone’s favorite droid (is there anyone out there that likes C-3PO better?)

When I first saw Minecraft, I wasn’t really blown away by the game. Not even a slight metaphorical breeze hit me. Now at any given moment there are about 3.5 bajillion Minecraft players that are capable of vaporizing my skull with their creativity and passion.

Last year, we were mesmerized with the pancake flipping robot arm; now it’s time to meet the robot that can actually cook up some mean pancakes. Now here’s more gadgetry that can add to the existing fanfare on the train of thought that robots would someday come to rule our human world: the pancake-making robot constructed from Lego.

I’m not sure if Apple will change the shape of the iPod Nano any time soon, but Incase is probably hoping that it will stay the same (or maybe they know something we don’t). Their new Flex Wristband Case looks pretty cool, even though I still can’t see it being that comfortable with a headphone cord sticking out of it.

This fan-created Zelda version of Minecraft looks a lot of fun. You’ll be able to explore Hyrule in all its 8-bit glory. If you can’t wait for the next version of the Legend of Zelda, then check out this neat game.

After spending a few months at the local gym, I have come to identify certain areas and avoid certain people because (there’s no other nicer to say it) they have stinky feet. I learned this the hard way the first few times I happened to stop by the lounge or canteen where a lot of people who had just finished with their workouts were hanging out.

I really love the guys over at Evil Mad Scientist Laboratories. First off, they’ve got a great name. Second, they’re always coming up with fun and frivolous geek projects like this handy footstool – in the shape of the classic 555 timer chip.

Certainly one of the biggest stories of the year so far has been the death of Bin Laden at the hands of the U.S. military. The tech used in that raid that netted the most wanted man in the world has been the stuff of much discussion including the special stealth helicopter that was used.

I like my job most days, I don’t have to wear pants, I can get all the drinks and snacks I want, and I don’t have to worry that someone will catch me watching the occasional YouTube video on the job.

I like robots and one day when they perfect them and normal folk can actually afford them, I will buy one. I will not buy a robot that has body odor though. I have two kids that are smelly enough after a long day playing and I don’t want a robot to have to force into the tub as well.

Nothing annoys me more than the sight of cables and wires in disarray. I have a lot of those plastic wires to hold the cables together in a bunch. While these don’t really make things look better, it does make everything more organized and orderly.
