While I can appreciate Logitech’s iPad case, which protects your tablet and has a smartly hidden keyboard, I have trouble considering the $249 Crux Loaded as a worthwhile alternative, since the iPad is already costly. Instead of doing this, you could simply just buy a MacBook Air and be done with it.
Whoever disagrees can purchase the Crux Loaded and make their iPad 2 into an Asus Transformer. The case features a keyboard, trackpad, and an extended battery. The battery has enough juice for another 7.5 hours of autonomy, which is interesting. The keyboard connects via Bluetooth, and the trackpad can be used for remote PC access via apps like LogMeIn Ignition, Jump Desktop or Splashtop.
With so many netbook and utlrabook alternatives on the market, this product is only for the people who absolutely want to use their iPads for everything. The Crux Loaded case will be available this fall.
