by Lambert Varias

deviantART member Botjira makes amazing collages of video game, TV show, anime and other geeky characters. Even though the individual pieces that are patched together to make each work are not that small, they’re still quite detailed. The different textures and materials also add a layer of depth to Botjira’s creations. Note the shiny foil used to make Link’s sword for example.

geeky papercraft by botjiraBotjira’s pieces are all made using recycled materials, such as magazines and recycled paper. Botjira also sends any leftover paper scraps to be recycled. It takes Botjira anywhere from five minutes to a few hours to make each piece. If you’d like to get an idea of how the collages are made, Botjira posted a step-by-step of the making of the Chell piece here.

You really should check out Botjira’s deviantART page to see the pieces in more detail. You can also order prints some of Botjira’s collages here. Each piece costs $10 (USD), excluding shipping.
