Elecom Nendo Orime Mouse: Polygonal Pointing Peripheral

One of Elecom’s latest wireless mice, the look of the Orime is supposed to be a reference to the ancient Japanese art of origami. Either that or first generation PlayStation games. Whatever the inspiration, I wonder if anyone bothered to test the usability of this device.

The Orime was designed with the help of nendo, who also had a hand in the conception of Elecom’s tailed mice. But unlike that design, which is quirky but practical, the Orime seems to have been designed for its novel look alone.

Look at those pointed peaks. Unless its case is made of some soft material, I don’t see how anyone could stand to use one of these for even a handful of seconds. Techie masochists and mice collectors can order the Orime from GeekStuff4U for about $84 (USD).
