Porsche Design Watch Hides a Compass Beneath its Face

The guys over at Porsche Design have unveiled an interesting new watch. The case of the watch is made from titanium that is colored black. It’s a very simple looking and minimalist watch with a black face and white markings, and a red second hand.

The P 6520 watch has a small window for the date and uses a Swiss automatic Sellita caliber movement and is water resistant to 50 meters. The crystal is AR coated and made from sapphire. But all those specs aside, the cool part is that the watch flips up and underneath is a liquid filled compass.

Porsche says that the compass will work in either hemisphere. You can view the compass comfortably thanks to two mirrors that pop into place when you open it up. The price hasn’t been announced at this time, but I’d assume it will be expensive, with a limited edition of just 911 pieces.
