Rare Zippo Lighter Fires Bullets, Not Fire

Rare Zippo Lighter Fires Bullets, Not Fire
This isn’t an official Zippo-issued lighter (because I doubt it would be legal to do so) but it’s way cooler than any other standard-issue they’ve released thus far. Roll the flint wheel on this lighter but make sure your face is a safe distance away from the barrel unless you want a mini bullet to hit you straight in the face.

Fat iPhone 4 Knock Off is Actually a Fan

Fat iPhone 4 Knock Off is Actually a Fan
The amount of electronic gear that gets copied over in China never ceases to impress me. One of the things that most commonly get ripped off is the iPhone and other Apple gear. Some of the geeks at MIC Gadget were out shopping for gadgets and ran across this rip off.

Portal 2 Space Core Cake: Caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake

Portal 2 Space Core Cake: Caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake
What could be better than a space-obsessed personality construct? An edible space-obsessed personality construct, that’s what. Believe it or not, this replica of the Space Core isn’t made of metal or plastic. The core is a cake.

Canon X Mark I Mouse Lite with Built-in Numeric Keyboard: Too Many Buttons or Just Enough?

Canon X Mark I Mouse Lite with Built-in Numeric Keyboard: Too Many Buttons or Just Enough?
While OS X Lion updates all of the multi-touch gestures available for Mac computers, but (at least for now) people who have PCs still need  buttons on their mice. This mouse, called the X Mark I Lite, was recently released by Canon and comes with an integrated 10-digit calculator or numeric keypad (whichever you prefer)!

Stype Typewriter: Chat on Skype With Walternate

Stype Typewriter: Chat on Skype With Walternate
In the sci-fi TV series Fringe, there’s a typewriter that some of the characters use to communicate with a parallel Earth, where the typewriter’s equivalent exists. Whatever is typed into the typewriter in one world gets typed into the typewriter in the other world and vice-versa.

The Clone Factory: Make Your Own Mini-Me

The Clone Factory: Make Your Own Mini-Me
I have trouble understanding why anyone would want a fake 3D clone of themselves, but hey, who really understands the Japanese? One shop in Tokyo, Japan, has decided to offer realistic replicas of people to discerning customers.

Guy Gets Stuck in Manhole Trying to Get His Phone, Blames Gang Members

Guy Gets Stuck in Manhole Trying to Get His Phone, Blames Gang Members
As the story goes, a guy was walking to his buddy’s house that was only a few doors down when some gang members started shouting “gang stuff” and then attacked him. The dude says he was punched and kicked and then the gang members tossed his phone into the drain.

Power Up Propels Paper Planes

Power Up Propels Paper Planes
I can remember when I was in grade school. On free days in gym, the coach would give us a bunch of paper and we would see who could build the plane that flew the longest.

5-Axis Milling Machine Carves Helmet from Block of Solid Aluminum

5-Axis Milling Machine Carves Helmet from Block of Solid Aluminum
I’ll start out by saying that this video has been floating around for a couple of years now, but it’s the first time I’ve seen it and thought it would be worth sharing for those of you who’ve never seen it before.

Minecraft TV: Redstone Ray Tube

Minecraft TV: Redstone Ray Tube
I’ve never actually played Minecraft, but I think it’s safe to say that the industrial revolution in the game’s universe started when redstone was introduced, way back in Alpha. From that simple ore came simple computers, printers – 2D and 3D – and now, a working television.

Aiptek MobileCinema D20 Boombox: Ghetto Projector

Aiptek MobileCinema D20 Boombox: Ghetto Projector
With the gaggle of touchscreen-equipped buttonless gadgets coming out every second, I was mildly shocked at the sight of Aiptek’s MobileCinema D20. But don’t let it’s retro looks and form fool you, this boombox is one versatile fella, blasting both audio and video on the go.

iTimber iPhone 4 Cases & Stands: Wood Is Good!

iTimber iPhone 4 Cases & Stands: Wood Is Good!
There something beautiful about the contrast between high-tech and low-tech. This is pretty obvious when you check out these wooden iPhone 4 cases and stands by Kencheng88.

Marvel Digital’s Gadmei P83 Glasses-Free 3D PMP: Good for Your Eyes? Probably Not.

Marvel Digital’s Gadmei P83 Glasses-Free 3D PMP: Good for Your Eyes? Probably Not.
There are only a few 3D movies that I’ve seen that were actually worth it. Most of the others were somewhat disappointing, but check out this PMP that’s supposed to do 3D without any glasses. It’s called the Gadmei P83 PMP from Marvel Digital, and hopefully it won’t harm your eyes when you use it, because we’ve all recently heard the (not so) shocking news that 3D isn’t good for your eyes.

Wall-E Toy Hacked into a Real Robot

Wall-E Toy Hacked into a Real Robot
I thing one of the better kids movies that have come out in a while was WALL-E. My kids loved that movie and last Christmas my daughter wanted one of those little WALL-E robot toys, but we didn’t find one for her in time.

MAUL Taser Shotgun Will Make You Crap Your Pants from 30-Yards Away

MAUL Taser Shotgun Will Make You Crap Your Pants from 30-Yards Away
Some people really deserve to be Tasered, like bullies or thieves. I think it’s much better for the police to Taser someone rather than shooting them with real bullets. The catch is that many of the Tasers on the market require the person doing the zapping to be very close.
