I was raised by my parents to be an extremely thrifty girl. And I was am one, unless I find myself face-to-face with these items that I simply cannot walk away from: clothes, shoes, makeup, accessories, or perfume. (Thank goodness I’m not really into cars or jewelry.) Of course, I’ve learned how to balance my finances and just spend the enough (and sensible) amount of money every month.
But sometimes, I find myself wanting two things at once and being unable to decide which item I should save for first. I’m thinking this 50/50 Savings Bank could help a lot in my decision making, because I wouldn’t really be deciding anything at all.
It sort of works like one of those Plinko-style games where you drop a token (or in this, your loose change) in a slot above and it just goes plinking down a random side. To make sure you don’t accidentally (or purposefully) switch the funds up to buy whatever it is you want, you can write down what each side is for on the wipe-clean eraser boards on the front. The huge downside is that you can only (and obviously) save up using coins and not bills.
