Pump-Action Slingshot: Slingshotgun?

by Shane McGlaun

The last time I talked about a cool slingshot fit for the zombie apocalypse from our slingshot-wielding madman pal Joerg Sprave, it was the crossbow slingshot. Joerg is back today with what may be the coolest slingshot that he has ever made. His latest creation is a pump-action slingshot, which works kind of like a shotgun.

The reason I like this thing so much is that I don’t worry about his eyes or fingers like with a traditional slingshot. I had a slingshot my dad got me as a kid and I whapped my arm with the surgical tubing that thing used on more than one occasion. Check out the video below to see this thing of beauty in action:

To load the thing, you slide the pump back and then push it back into the forward locking position. The device has a feeding mechanism and loads itself automatically when you rack the slide. This latest slingshot holds about 20 metal ball bearings at a time according to Joerg. It appears to be reasonably strong and accurate as well.
