I’m always on the lookout for new and quirky stuff for my iPhone. Granted, it’s not the iPhone 4S with Siri, but I still love it all the same, although I wouldn’t mind receiving an upgrade this Christmas (hint hint to any generous family members or friends of mine.)
The newest thing on my list? The BaseStation stand for the iPhone.
Is it a chopping board? Is it a charging stand? Well, it used to be one and now it’s the other, and that much you can tell by just looking at the pictures.
The BaseStation is available in either maple or walnut wood, which has a space carved out where your iDevice will fit like a glove. There’s also room cut out for the USB connector and for the wire so you can charge it up while putting your phone on display.
You can even choose to make it really yours by opting to have your name or your favorite quote or something engraved on it (something along the lines of Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish, perhaps?) Or you can also have a special message engraved on it and give the BaseStation to someone on your list this Christmas.
I think you can still use it to chop some stuff up if you really want to, but really, why would you want to waste ¥4,000 (~$52) when you won’t even be able to slice and dice things right with the BaseStation? You can get one from Rakuten, if you’re interested.
