We’ve seen a table, a chair, classic artworks, and even a toilet made from gadget guts. Here’s a nice installation that would go well with those items. Made by UK-based artist Susan Stockwell, this map of the world is made of computer components.
Simply titled “World”, the map is not 100% accurate – Antarctica is missing, and I’m sure there are hundreds, if not thousands of tiny islands and islets missing – but you’ll see that Stockwell tried to indicate the appropriate climate and land types using appropriately colored circuit boards.
You can see more pictures of World and of Stockwell’s other sculptures on her website.
